Apt broken into, shit stolen

My roommates and I returned from our Christmas festivities to find our apartment broken into. The jerkasses took any electronic device not nailed down, including my laptops, my 360, PS3 and accompanying games. We've already gotten the police involved, but other than that, are there any steps to take regarding my 360 and PS3? I've put a block on both online accounts already. Also, I have Gamefly, and the thieves took one of my rented games. Is this going to screw with my account there?
I would imagine if you file a police report, get a copy and call gamefly to explain what happened it should be fine. Worst case they ask you to fax a copy of the police report for proof.
If game-fly is anything like Netflix they'll understand the occasional lost disk,
as far as the rest of your stuff, if you have any way you can get the serial for your 360 and/or PS3, call Sony and Microsoft respectively and get the hardware banned from any online activity.
seconding the hope that you had renters.

Unfortunately, no renter's insurance. You can bet we're all getting it asap at this point.
Given the nature of the stuff stolen, we're going to swing by the local Gamestops and give them a heads up. Seems very much like a desperate smash & grab at this point, as my roommates are missing their change jars, but more expensive portable stuff (external HDDs, routers) were not taken.
Report it all to the police. Make sure to include your Xbox Gamertag and Playstation Home IDs, because there's an article on Kotaku just today where a burgler got busted for putting a 360 that was reported stolen online.
If you have the consoles registered with the respective companies, you should be able to look at the info online to get their serial numbers, which you can then give to local pawn shops.
This thread is a reminder of how important renter's insurance is. It's only like 15-18 bucks a month, and will usually cover $10,000 and plus in lost property, not mention put you up in a hotel while the fix your place. Having just moved into a new apartment, I was freaked out about coming home to a broken in place, and that gives me a little bit piece of mind.
Though not to hijack the thread, quick question. Said I did get broken into..how would I claim all my stuff from the insurance? Do I need to be writing down the serial numbers for my stuff? Take pictures? What?

From what I've heard you want to have serial #'s as well as photo's of your stuff. I have mine tucked away in a box, just in case.
And like Kyouhu said, rents insurance is SO cheap. I have mine through AAA for some stupid amount, like 45$ for a YEAR with full coverage.

I wish I could triple dog lime this.
I was broken into twice before I wised up. Insurance is so cheap compared to the shit you can lose.
I finally got insurance in the new condo and when I was broken into (again yes) I called the insurance place after I had the police report and I had a $2200 cheque within a week.

My friends had a bunch of N64 games stolen from them and followed this advice. They got all their stuff back, and I think the cops busted the guy.
