Other shit to do:
Wander around Gastown and Chinatown; the latter especially if the night market is on.
Downtown isn't bad either; check what events might be on.
Further afield, you could cross to North Van on the ferry and go check out the Capilano suspension bridge, or wander up Grousse mountain and take in the view from the peaks; that's pretty cool.
You could trip up to Whistler for the weekend or Victoria for the day.
Oh, and catch a hockey game or something, I guess. It's Canada, after all.
saw a dude wearing a penny-arcade hoodie in there, hells maybe he visits this forum.
A lot of video game nerds hang out there. There used to be (maybe still is) an industry mixer that goes on there, plus Hothead is just right up the street.

Yep, I can safely say I'm a regular, 'cept I don't know any of the other folks that hang there.
because I'm hell of gonna be there in, like, two months
the week of march 20-27 specifically
Well, you could buy lots of gore tex and wander around downtown.
March is super damp, but there's stuff to do if you look.
The Telus World of Science (aka Science World) is pretty great, especially if they have a cool exhibit on, the Vancouver Aquarium is nice too, and all the Olympics clusterfuckery will be over so the city will be back to normal, mostly. If you like outdoorsy stuff, I suggest going to Lynn Canyon Headwaters park. It's really nice, and they have a suspension bridge even shakier than the Capilano one, and it's free.
Also Larlar's doorstep.

Society of Engineers and Architects of California. Our branch does a big trip every year to go see some cool new buildings/soon-to-be-buildings. This'll be the first year that we do something outside of the U.S. (what with all the new vancouver construction for the olympics). My week's actually pretty well planned-out, but we do have a few days of free time and I'd like to see the city.
And meet teefs I really wanna meet teefs

I find Granville Island to be a good place to go. There are some pretty cool stores and places to see there. There are a lot of studios and things for glass blowers and other people. Granville Island has a lot of artists. I think there's an Emily Carr University public gallery located there. There's a public market filled with vegetables and fish and other things. There is also a theatre there, but I'm not sure what's happening there in March. The Granville Island Brewing Company is also there. I think you can get tours there.
It's kind of too bad that you would be going in March because there is a Shakespeare Festival called Bard on the Beach that starts on June 3rd.
I think this has already been said but there is the Vancouver Aquarium and the Greater Vancouver Zoo.
Grouse Mountain is a good place to go too. There is a lot of stuff to do. I'm pretty sure you can go ziplining among a lot of other things. There's also the Grouse Grind which a lot of my friends did last year.
I'm sure there are a lot more things than that, but that's all I can really remember off the top of my head.

Probably? You'd have to ask my wife, she's the Vancouver expert, I'm trusting in her to get us around while I just find cool people to hang out with
the greater vancouver zoo
the only zoo where the animals break in

kpop appreciation station i also like to tweet some
so then things to do in vancouver
1) go to a hardware store
2) get concrete mix
3) buy some fiber and ex-lax
4) build a doorstep for larlar
5) shit the fuck all over it
all I need is an address
you'll have to resign to pooping in the lobby
a mountain of poop several stories high
it will be inescapable
I will tag the poop in such a way as to make it obvious who should receive it
let us just say that it will be needle-y
and you can poop in a bag for me to take home afterwards
that Friday looks to be the most open day for me. We shall make plans, as they say
but not right now. I mean it's like two and a half months off
