So last friday this show started

00028845.jpg

With the pilot episode that has been available on dvd for almost a year but with less boobies and a few more visual effects.

But there was a pretty cool "season" trailer released, featuring a look at Jason Marsters's and Patton Oswald characters
http://io9.com/5455606/cool-new-caprica-season-1-trailer

I can't wait to see what sort of crazy mixups "Almost Marty McFly" will get into.

It's evocative of the Eden story

They could have at least made her a robot Eve

It's how you get there, etc.

Also, there are many aspects of colonial society that we don't know about. It will be fun to see some of the blanks filled in.

Anyway, I saw the pilot when it came out on DVD, and I quite enjoyed it. I'm excited about the show starting up.

the pilot was a lot better than i expected it to be

i think this show would be more well received if it weren't attached to bsg. it has a lot of interesting ideas on its own merits, but it's kind of brought down by people who aren't going to watch it because they didn't like bsg/liked bsg too much to accept a new show in the same world.

Loved it. It's different enough to not be bogged down by BSG, but similar enough to feel like a part of the same universe. I'm very excited.
