Nothing official but potential PAX attendee meet-ups at conventions leading up to PAX offer the following:

February:

Templecon - Feb. 5th - 7th. Gaming con. www.templecon.org/10

Unitygames - Feb. 6th. Gaming con (specializes in Eurogames). www.unitygames.org

Boskone - Feb. 12 - 14. Old school SF con (I run the game room for this one). www.boskone.org

Totalcon (Total Confusion) - Feb. 18 - 21. Regional gaming con (regional eurogame tournaments held here). www.totalcon.com

March:

Vericon - March 19 - 21. Small everything con, with a huge gaming tournament known as the Verolympics. www.vericon.org

And those are just the conventions close by. There's a lot more going on further out. I'll be at most (if not all) of them, so see you there.

Oh sorry, I should have clarified, I'm not trying to step on toes for the official calendar and things, the purpose of the post was just to have a quick reference of all the forum threads for community events so that as things get busier it's easier to find the one you're looking for to grab updates. I just thought that I might not be the only person who stares at the wall of text listing the threads and forgets what I was looking for and can't find things

Added the Boston meetup and a Pre-Pre-PAX area, also added the movie, the hockey game, the GLBT meetup, and the Costume threads.
