    I have the Calvin & Hobbes collection too. It's wonderful having a hardback, high-quality copy of all the comics.

    Same thing with the Far Side collection.

    This was the greatest comic. When I was very young I was so enamored I made my own knock-off calvin and hobbes comic about a boy and his stuffed gorilla and their whacky adventures.

    but even back then I knew it was horrible so I never showed it to anyone. I should look for it in my parent's house someday.

    The Far Side is a one panel strip and worked for licensing without really affecting the integrity of the comic. There wasn't the investment in story and characters like Calvin & Hobbes.

    My friend was renting a house in college and all of the kitchen countertops came clear and lined with Calvin & Hobbes comics, it was pretty rad

    His body obviously converts caloric intake into fluff. Christopher Robin's father was clearly some sort of Nano scientist.
