So I think I posted this in the wrong thread just now

    I NEED YOUR OPINIONS

Ice cream-themed scarves/hats/accessories. Neapolitan hats. Mint chocolate chip scarves. Etc. Think it'll work?

Yes, I realize I will probably only sell these to the ladies. Sorry.

50 dollars is not cheap for pants, but those are nice pants.

I wore 514s for two years, after hearing people talk about them on here. I really like them. Not the best jeans or anything, but comfy and a good deal if you can get them for less than 40 bucks.

I also tried on 511s after dudes raving about them here in SE and wound up buying a pair. Nice jeans. I bought them too long, so cuffing is mandatory.. It was kind of on purpose, because the 30 inch inseam showed too much sock when seated. I thought I could do that stacking thing instead once in a while, but it looks terrible in real life too, so I just cuff em.

    Hah as if you do.

It's where you buy jeans with an inseam a little longer than normal so the jeans kinda bunch up or crinkle around your calves, I guess.

I really want at least one good pair of jeans, but I'm conflicted on what type to choose. 501's, 511's, or 514's? which ones would be the most "timeless" so they'd really never go out of style?

also, comfort is a factor I guess

Jeans seem to shift in and out of style every couple years and then a decade or two later rotate back into fashion as a revival.

So just buy a pair of jeans in each style to cover your bases.

I've enjoyed the pairs of 501s I've purchased, and they're the "original" jean, so if you want timeless they're probably the way to go. Not too baggy and not too tight, they're pretty comfortable.

now with price in mind, and comfort, which type of jeans are best? wanting some darker wash jeans since I've got literally 0 of those types

maybe these would be good to start?

Don't go with black jeans, they are kinda tacky unless you are going for the super-skinny ones and you can pull that off. If you're looking for something really dark, I have these and they are really nice in person. It's not listed, but they are raw denim. Topman has some other nice nice raw denim jeans for super cheap too.

that depends if tall (6') skinny (130 lbs) people look good in them. personally I think skinny jeans should be limited to just skinny women.

also, those jeans look awesome smart hero. and just in my price range

I need to try on a pair of 501s next time I am at the mall, because there have been some sweet deals on 501s lately. Those are nice, Smart Hero.

Levis 501s, 511, 514s etc are not really premium jeans. They can be premium, depending on the quality of the denim, but those numbers are just different styles.

My stupid 514's got small on me or something.
    Or I grew.

Which would be ridiculous since its been like, three or four years since I've grown an inch...

Still, I am now down to one pair of fitting jeans.
I got them off the bargain rack at HM, they where a bit too long but they wound up being super comfortable and I like 'em anywho. I just kinda fold them up. There the... sliqs or something? I have no idea if these things are in any way quality pants though. Just gonna hope they don't fall apart on me.

I'm about 6', 170 lbs but slim. I imagine they'd be great for someone of your build, I can't go for the super-skinny ones because I have pretty thick legs.

The ones I found on the Levis site were the premium denim but marked down to over half price. They have sales occasionally, and they don't promote them, you just have to kind of check the site every once in a while and hope they have'em in your size or something close to it; remember, you can always have them hemmed if the legs are a little too long, for very little money, and you'd still come out ahead price-wise.

Those jeans he posted are "slim" I think. I think, but I am not certain, that they are 511s. Levis calls them skinny, but then offers a skinner jeans-- the 510, and many other brands have skinnier cuts than the 511.

I'm 6' and 145, and I think 511s look nice on me. Other people do too, I have received a lot of complements when wearing them. 514s are nice too, but actually flare a tiny bit-- they are not actually straight leg.

511's tend to be a little too thin for me, I think the ones I have are a little bit roomier than your average 511, but not much.

I thought I was a 31 inch waist, because my 32 514s are sort of loose, but I had to size up to 32 again, despite losing weight, for the 511s.

They don't fit me around the hips and legs actually, I have oddly muscular legs. I have like a 30" waist but tend to size up to 32" waists.
