A metal thread sounds way better than whatever other options we have.
I am just getting into some Suicide Silence and The Haunted. Am I behind the times?
I saw him open for Atoms for Peace last night, and after the show he was hanging out signing stuff, so had a Cosmogramma one-sheet signed and talked to him about the show for a minute. I mentioned his show at the double door last week and he was like "that's the real shit right there man, not this shit. Catch me in the club, that's where it's at"

I saw them in early July and they put on an amazing show. Brother, Sister, Catch for Us the Foxes, and A to B Life are such fantastic albums. It's All Crazy! It's All False! It's All A Dream! It's Alright not so much.
so as many of you know, I come from Russia. Despite being poor and stuff, I still had books and tv and shit growing up. But somehow, music never entered that collective. In fact, I "didn't like music" until I was 12 or so. In seventh grade we had to do a speech on our favorite song and I picked Blink's "What's My Age Again" because it seemed popular and I didn't know any better.
The other week we're cleaning out the closet in our apartment and we find a bunch of tapes that were sent to my parents while we were still in Russia. Amongst them, Abbey Road and Sgt. fucking Pepper, two of my favorite albums presently.
My parents had Sgt. Pepper and didn't let me listen to it and let me remain a musical retard until high school.
lost, especially in its final season, is event television for me and my friends. it is the one show that we all sit down and watch as it's on, with friends and everything. i've still gone out a couple of tuesdays, but it just means that it's gotta be something i REALLY want to go to. and i don't REALLY want to go to the bronx.

I've gotten Henry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music and the O Brother soundtrack but aside from that I don't really know where to go
any suggestions
and not strictly folk, but mississippi records releases a lot of blues/gospel/americana comps. life is a problem is especially great
plus it's lost night
i'll catch them next time they're here

Blarhghhh.
Lost the TV show?
Instead of a live concert? Any live concert?
yes
and other places within an hour of it airing
I wouldn't see Titus Andronicus over Lost, but that's because I'm not too into Titus Andronicus.
this is not a complex proposition
But TV is always there, always recorded, forever. Live shows are so impermanent.
