MAID RPG
Maid RPG is a very light anime-styled role-playing game. It's very easy to learn, with a very basic rules system, intricate random character generation, tables upon tables of random costumes and events. You can sit down with the system for the first time and be playing within fifteen minutes.
And we're going to be playing it over IRC!

I'll be running sessions of this game whenever I'm free, and people are available on IRC. At the moment, it looks like I'll be completely free all day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, some weekends, and most nights throughout the week. I run on Australian Easten Standard Time, however, so remember your conversions!
Three or four people will be in each game, no more. Times and groups can be scheduled in this thread.

ACTION RESOLUTION
The basic mechanic of the game is really easy to remember - roll 1d6 and multiply the result by the attribute you're using in the particular situation. Usually, the GM will decide what your target number will be, which the roll has to exceed in order to be successful. But if two characters are opposing each other, then there's different combat rules! Often the GM will decide what the right attribute to use will be, but sometimes the GM will leave it open for players to decide what their maid does - with proper explanation and role-playing, of course. Manipulating a situation to allow you to use your best attributes is an important part of the game.
If an attribute is 0, then the maid simply cannot succeed at actions involing that attribute. If this happens, your best bet is to work with other maids and/or the master to accomplish your goal, or try to come at the problem from another angle.
e.g. The GM tells Rumi, the robo-killer maid, that waking up the Master will require a 6 or higher. Rumi decides to use her best stat, Affection, which rates at 4. She rolls the dice and gets a 2, which is multiplied by 4 to get an 8. Success!
COMBAT
"Combat", in this game, is what happens whenever two characters are opposing or competing aganst each other. This covers traditional RPG combat, like swordfighting, gunplay or magic, but also comes into play when the maids are trying to impress someone, bake a better cake, clean the floor faster - anything that's a direct competition.
Also, regardless of all the NPCs and PCs involved in a combat, their actions happen at the same time.
The Attack Power of an action is 1d6 times the appropriate attribute.
Whoever has the highest Attack Power wins that round of combat, while the loser(s) are subject to harm in the form of Stress. They'll suffer Stress equal to the attacker's winning Attack Power divided by the attribute the loser was using, rounded down. However! If the defender was using a stat worth 0, they suffer the Attack Power in full. If there's a tie for Attack Power, neither side takes any Stress, and it's a stalemate. For now.
Whenever multiple characters work together, whether it's attacking or defending, their Attack Power rolls are added together. If the group acting together loses, however, only one person suffers Stress - the maids must choose amongst themselves. No dumping Stress on NPCs.
When a maid takes Stress, note it down next to their Spirit rating. If they accumulate more Stress than Spirit, they suffer a Stress Explosion. If you really don't want to suffer a Stress Explosion, you can opt to do whatever the opponent wants, and thereby not take any stress. Think about what you're doing before you talk down this path!
e.g. Rumi has had enough of Mika's wise-cracking attitude, and tries to trip her up with her extending robo-foot, using Skill. Mika decides to try and evade the trip by rolling Luck to avoid the foot somehow. They roll - Mika gets an Attack Power of 9, while Rumi rolls an 8. Mika wins, and Rumi takes 2 Stress.
THE MAID UNIFORM
The maid's true power lies in her identification as a maid! Because of this, when deprived of her external appearance as a maid, her abilities are reduced. In-game, this means that when a maid removes or damages a part of her uniform - or gets it removed or damaged by someone else - she suffers penalties to dice rolls. These also apply if the maid's uniform gets excessively dirty! The penalty comes in the form of a negative modifier to their raw dice roll in combat and action resolution.
Losing the headdress nets you a -2 penalty, while losing your Apron, Blouse, Skirt, Underwear, or Stockings means you take -1. These are cumulative, as well!
Oh, by the way, if you establish your character never wears underwear, you don't suffer any penalty for not wearing a pair of them.
STRESS
As noted above, maids can suffer stress through combat. But it can also be allocated by the GM, or through the powers of other maids! In combat, especially, a maid can generate a lot of Stress quickly.
When your Stress exceeds your Spirit, you go into a Stress Explosion. When this happens, the maid remains in the player's control, but they can only do things which fall within the character's Stress Explosion. However, as long as it fits in those boundaries, anything goes!
Each minute of real-life time (including breaks) that passes by while in a Stress Explosion removes one point of Stress, until the maid finally gets down to 0 Stress. It's the player's job to keep track of this, but the GM provides final verification. You can also spend Favour to drop Stress.
FAVOUR
Favour represents how pleased the master is with a given maid! The GM hands out these points of favour to the maid characters whenever they feel like it. In particular, points of Favour go to maids who work hard to assist, serve or rescue their master. The points can be spent as follows:
A maid who drops below 0 Favour is immediately dismissed by the master. To avoid being dismissed, maids can lower one of their attributes by 1 point, gaining ten times the new attribute level in Favour (e.g. lowering Affection from 2 to 1 would net 10 Favour points), until the maid has 0 or more Favour. Of course, this means that maids can wind up on a downward spiral of reduced ability.
THE MASTER
The master is the heart of the game, and for the maids, they're the most important character in it. The master is an NPC controlled by the GM, and they are the GM's responsibility to roleplay. The master's job is to command and evaluate the maids. Whle their actual abilities tend to be shitty in comparison to the maids, the master is the highest authority in the mansion.
The maids cannot directly oppose the master or his orders, though they might be able to do so in secret. The master can also suffer Stress Explosions, just like the maids.

SEDUCTION
Characters can attempt to seduce each other, whether they're PCs or NPCs. "Seduction" is basically trying to get someone to fall in love with you, or get romantically confused. The character who is seduced loses all their normal judgement and does what the seducer says. It's possible to seduce multiple people!
The character being seduced can also gain Favour in this way, so there is some benefit to them!
You can seduce any partner you can speak to or touch. The seducer uses Affection or Cunning (or possibly any other attribute, with GM approval), while the target can use whatever attribute they wish in an opposed check. Both sides must role-play the effects of what they use and get the GM's permission to make a seduction roll. If the seducer is successful, seduction can take place!
The victim cannot attempt to avoid rolling a dice, like in normal combat - they have no choice about this. However, for each unsuccessful seduction attempt on the same character, successive attempts take a -1 penalty to the dice roll.
Unlike normal combat, the seducer cannot spend Favour on seduction rolls, though the target can. Also, although the seducer takes Stress for failure, the target does not take any for failing.
Even if players want to be seduced, both must roll. However, if two PCs are rolling against each other, they can try to seduce each other! Furthermore, it is totally possible for two characters to become seduced by each other.

If a maid or butler fails at seducing the Master, he or she not only takes Stress as usual, but loses 2d6 points of Favour.
If the Master is being seduced, then maids and butlers can opt to spend Favour to boost their seduction chances, though the Master has to assent to this happening. Furthermore, if other maids or butlers are present, they can use appropriate role-playing to disrupt the seduction, adding their own roll results to the Master's roll to resist.
Oh, and Butlers? They lose 2d6 Favour for failing to seduce maids, and 4d6 Favour for masters. Even if they do succeed, they lose 1d6 Favour every time they give an order.

While Irisael washes and dresses the master, the other three maids decide to ignore the regular breakfast food they could make, and instead attempt to make last night's dinner look like a fresh breakfast. A much more difficult task, and they're so close to success, but the slave-girl's incompetence manages to turn the whole breakfast into a disaster. The master scolds them (though Rene escapes without being seen as responsible), and Irisael has to make a simple fruit breakfast.
After failing to set the table properly, Rene tries to make up with the master by making juice! Though her efforts are adequate, Dina tries to use raw muscle to make a delicious and pulpy glass of juice, but only creates a huge mess, dirtying up her apron in the process. Ines uses her bookish know-how to make an extra delicious glass of juice, and presents it to the master for some Favour.
Then, a knocking at the door! The maids open it up, and it's a GIANT BUNNY MAN, who's shouting that he needs to knock out Dina! Something about ruining a wedding, I don't know, there were some translation issues. Unifed against a common enemy who may threaten the master, the group manages to completely wipe out the bunny man! Relieved, Sorellina returns to her breakfast, and the maids finish off their morning duty.
Episode 2 - A Noble Lunch in the Palace! The Master Changes!
While planning lunch, the master comes in and requests some tea! The maids take this as a challenge amongst themselves to make the most delicious tea of all! Monique tries to knock Rika out of the competition, but only spills cleaning solution on the ground, not on Rika. Saiya manages to make a delicious pot of tea, her affection for the master showing through as she prepares tea just the way Sorellina likes it, stressing out the other three! Monique and Rika each try to switch Saiya's tea with their own, but they both fail. Completely overloaded with rage, Rika goes on a rampage!
While Saiya lovingly serves some tea to the master, Rika tries to shoot Monique, but only manages to blow up some of the uncooked food! Then she tries to shoot up Yuuka, but the zombie dives out of the way, and Monique uses her street-smarts to put the safety on the gun.
After this drama, and after Rika calms down the group manages to prepare lunch, and Monique and Rika team up to deliver the news to the master and assembled guests. While serving the nobles, Yuuka personally serves the master, affectionately doing things just the way the master likes. Monique tries to trip Saiya up as she goes to serve, but trips herself up, and is so overloaded with stress, all she can do is smoke a bong.
Then, crisis! The master sips her wine, only to collapse to the ground, muttering that she's been poisoned! With Monique drugging out, the other maids rally around their master, discovering that something strange has happened... the master has been turned into a man!

The Week So Far
During gym, Jeanne takes stock of her security measures in the gym, and remembers preparing some security cameras and pitfall traps in the floor. Meanwhile, Ryuuji is fumbling around with a basketball, unable to really do anything, since he is kind of a nerd. Taro Koizumi, head of the self-appointed group of Ayano's bodyguards, starts mocking the scrawny master, calling him a weak sissy!
Spurred by the maids cheers of support, and Jeanne's advice on proper technique, Ryuuji starts dribbling down the court, while Taro and the bodyguards get ready to stop him. Yui shouts at Taro that his fly's undone, which he desperately tries to cover, despite wearing zipperless gym shorts. Seika throws a dumpling at Taro's head, which knocks him to the ground. Jeanne charges ahead of Ryuuji, stopping the other guards from blocking the master's shot.
Having gotten close enough, Ryuuji shoots... and scores! He's very excited. Ayano and some of the other girls cheer.
Class dismissed!
Trying to help the master, without asking his permission, the maids try a risky gambit - while Jeanne and Holly try to trip up Ayano and delay her exiting the gym, Yui will go break into Ayano's locker and sneak out something. Unfortunately, though they manage to trip up Ayano and knock her to the ground, the master is too far away to do anything - and Seika's bad impersonation of Ryuuji doesn't help matters. While Ayano and the bodyguards exit, glaring at the maids, Ryuuji stares at the ground, deeply embarrassed.
Yui manages to break into Ayano's locker and steal her lunchbox.
At lunchtime, in the cafeteria, the master is sitting with his world-class lunch, when Ayano wanders in and sits opposite him! Although her bodyguards are seething from around the corner, it doesn't seem as though Ayano notices that she's opposite Ryuuji.
With some cunning and affectionate goading from the maids to both Ayano and Ryuuji, the master eventually asks Ayano if she would like to share lunch with him today. She agrees! It's all very sweet.
TUESDAY
In English class, Jeanne hides herself in a dark corner, while Seiko remains outside and watches the classroom via the security cameras Jeanne had installed at an earlier time, along with several eel traps.
Eel traps.
When the teacher calls on Ryuuji to dictate a sentence on the board, he stresses out - English is his worst subject, besides all the other ones! Flop-sweaty, he stands at the blackboard with chalk in hand, while Ayano's bodyguards taunt him and try to distract him from listening to the teacher. Fortunately, the maids jump to the rescue - Jeanne does a ninja sneak across the room and under the teacher's desk, whispering advice to Ryuuji. Yui calls out a taunt about Taro being seen making out with some dude, and there is much mocking laughter. Holly, unable to do much else, cheers affectionate support at the master.
He finishes the sentence, and everyone is happy. Except Seiko, who did absolutely nothing. Fuckin' doctors.
Later, after school, Ryuuji was heading down the empty hallways with Yui and Holly in tow, Jeanne skulking across the ceiling, and Dr. Seiko a few paces back. When Ayano wanders into the hallway, walking in the opposite direction to the gang, everyone is surprised to see that she doesn't have a gaggle of friends with her, or skulking bodyguards - it's just her!
Doctor Seiko decides to stop Ayano, asking her if anything is wrong. She replies, but gets a sneaking suspicion that she's seen this woman before! Fortunately, a pencil thrown by Jeanne and a stammering, barely plausible explanation from the fake doctor distracts Ayano long enough for Seiko to flee. Holly then bumps into Ayano purposefully, trying to knock her into Ryuuji's direction. It's a hard hit, and she takes some stress! At the same time, Jeanne uses her elite tactics to push Ryuuji in the right direction to catch Ayano - success!
Tangled up, Ayano and Ryuuji have a stammered conversation, interrupted by Ayano noticing the ninja on the ceiling. Jeanne, after explaining that she's definitely there for security purposes, activates her pre-prepared smoke traps and flees from her position. With Holly's goading, Ryuuji offers to walk Ayano to the train station - and she accepts. Aww.
The Loli

She has always been a maid and can't remember a time when she wasn't one. She does not remember anything before being the Mistress' maid and in all honesty is not too bothered by this fact. She lives only to serve the Mistress in any way she can and will not allow anyone or anything to inconvenience the Mistress in any fashion. Saiya tends to look down on the other maids (and pretty much anyone who isn't the Mistress) because she feels that the Mistress would be better off with Saiya as the only Maid. But because the Mistress dotes on the other maids as well she tolerates their existence and is not above assisting them if it means the Mistress will be pleased.
Only wishing to please the Mistress, Saiya will often summon devils to assist her with the household chores and to keep the other Maids in line.
How I managed to get a blond haired, grey clothed, grey eyed maid WITH a rifle, and in a badass (non revealing) pose, I don't know.

As a magical girl, I'm viewing her as actually sort of 'possessed' by a spirit from the magical realm, drafted to fight in a war no one knows about. So yeah, she kills people, but from her perspective, they're possessed by demons/monsters/whathaveyou from the other side. Most of them. The rest sometimes ARE just people who are in the Family's way or who are her sister's enemies.
She's viewed by the Family as basically way too insane and unpredictable (them not knowing about the war) to be in charge. From her perspective, she loves and cherishes her sister (I'm thinking she's a few years older? so like at least 21-22?), and doesn't really care about the rest. If there's an enemy in her sister's way, she'll remove it. The Family thinks they manipulated her into this position of just being a maid by making it a wager (a rigged one, naturally), but she doesn't care. Well, that and it looked like an amusing game.
Her Revolver is her magical girl weapon and she can summon it at will. It's a Mateba type and can chamber regular ammo as well as magical cartridges for various effects. (Crossfire SHOOOOOOOOOOOT).
I'll source a picture at some point (maybe), she shouldn't be too hard to imagine. Dangerous grin much of the time.

Though the minions of the Dark Lord are long dead, and a hundred years of folding bedsheets has left her combat skills badly atrophied, Irisael continues to carry out her her duties to the best of her abilities. If you two are on irc when I am, we'll start a new show/one-shot OVA for you two to appear in. I've got a scenario I want to run that wouldn't work with the current Phalla Palace crew, and would work better as an independant show.
At 10am tomorrow, my time (about 6pm in New York or something, I don't know), I'll be running a session of Maid RPG! It'll be a new standalone OVA from the main series of Oh No! Phalla Palace!, instead it'll start a new show/OVA (depending on how quickly things get done) called Operation: Love Academy!
Here's the summary of the scenario's premise:
The Master attends Richmond Academy, a school attended by wealthy students. There is a girl who attends there who some call the school’s Madonna. She’s captured the Master’s heart, but she has a cadre of bodyguards. What will happen to the Master’s young love?
This scenario takes place at school, though we'll treat this as part of the "mansion," and the maids don’t lose their special powers or anything. The school will allow the Master to have two attendants (maids or a maid and a butler), and others can infiltrate the school (using costume changes and such). Don't worry, I'll let you know about the available costumes!
So, 10am my time, first three (or four) people to turn up will lock themselves in as the new cast for Operation: Love Academy!

Next game will be... sometime? I will be around tomorrow morning (Australian time), so if there's people around I will run another session. Otherwise, looking at Tuesday morning in my time before the next big session.

I'll be holding another session of Maid RPG in the IRC in... eight hours and forty-five minutes!
Slots will go to newbies first, but if there are zero newbies and everyone is an established member of Oh No! Phalla Palace! or Operation: Love Academy!, I will probably just run another episode (or two) of those.
Of course, if we do have new people, I will be running our third show, tentatively titled Be Our Demon King!
