Regardless, I think we can all agree that loading everyone into the shuttle to get them conveniently off the ship is kinda stupid.
They're on the shuttle every time you go on a mission. That's why you can change the squad by going back to the shuttle. They don't fly the shuttle aaaaallll the way back to the Normandy each time.

Also maybe it's just because I suck [most likely explanation], but the new combat style has thrown me for a bit of a loop. That and the fact that I was an unstoppable level 60 monster at the end of the last game, and so completely forgot about the need to use cover instead of simply standing in the middle of a room and shooting.

Also, just started replaying ME1 (only played it once back then, I very rarely replay a game at all), and boy.. am I glad about the changes

Dunno.. I still like it, but I realized that while I remember ME1 as a very cinematic experience, this was in the context of the time the game was released. The environments actually feel "smaller" and much more like a game than in ME2, for some reason (probably added realism and better direction?).
God I can't fucking wait for ME3
I think ME2 is now my favourite "game series". I'd probably take ME3 over HL2ep3 any day
