iPad Release

I was just wondering, since PAX will be geek-filled to the brim - how many of you guys are expecting to head to the Apple Store (like 100m away) to pick up an iPad? They are supposedly coming out the 26th at 6pm...

Depending on the line I might go get one :lol:

(Interesting to see how many PAXers are Apple haters now...)

    No.

    I love my macbook and my iphone (and my PC with Win7 on it), but I'm not buying an ipad. I don't really see it as a very useful device. Maybe in a few years it'll be cool, but I think it looks ridiculous and it doesn't do anything I can't already do better on another device.

    I'd use one if it was free.

    I'd consider paying for one if

    A)if I could watch Hulu on it/use flash.
    B)it wasn't so expensive.

    I'd consider buying one if:

    1) It could fit into my pocket
    2) Ran on a cellular phone network.
    3) ...oh, wait...

    There are much better, actual useful devices being released for cheaper prices. Personally, I hope Microsoft's Courier will become a reality as that is actual innovation and isn't being built to gain solely huge profit margins from an iTouch with a larger screen from unknowing consumers.

    I only use pads that keep me feeling fancy fresh. Somehow, I don't think the iPad will live up to my standard. (this is coming from an avid Mac user, by the way)
