Wait, you're diluting Bailey's with something other than harder liquor? Man, I ain't no badass drinker, but that right there is like making pepsi go down smoother with more sugar.
i just think the whiskey is a little harsh for me. i let it sit over ice for a bit before i drink it straight

Wow, how is it i never noticed this thread before.
Anywho, my current drink of choice is still rum & coke. But a friend of mine has recently gotten a job under a scotch / whiskey snob, and he gets about a bottle a week of premiere stuff. I cannot pronounce any of the bottles he has, but he says they all are worth well over 200$ a bottle. And i get to drink w him for free because everyone needs a drinking buddy. Bud damn if i am not jealous of him, most of the bottles he gets he gets because he beats his boss when they play golf, and that is what they bet on.
Also, after the fad of it has finally worn off, i have started drinking a bit of absinthe and water again. Its actually pretty good if you cut it.
I'm mostly a beer drinker, preferably something that's either wheaty or dark. Strange thing is, generally I like to nurse my beers, but if you give me a Guinness, I'll be finished before my friends are halfway through their Bud Lite.

Also ginger ale can safely mix with just about ANY base spirit, and is generally pretty good (or at least will mask terrible booze.)
