People have begun to arrive in Boston. So if you're posting just to say you've arrived, or you want to find people to hang out with leading up to PAX, during PAX or in the after-hours, this is the place to do it. Also, feel free to just talk about Boston in here too. This thread is very free form, so go nuts (within reason).

This is not a pick up thread, so please don't get creepy. Let's keep this fun for everybody.

    So yeah, im onsite in Boston and right now im free for most of tuesday. most of my staff doesnt get in until tuesday evening. Anybody want to do lunch tomorrow? Im staying with a friend down in wollaston right now until tomorrow when I get my hotel next to the hynes.

    hey ladys and gents. i'm looking for anyone that might want to be interviewed over skype for a pre pax show i'm doing on ustream.tv this isn't an offical ustream pax thing . its just a first timer doing what he can to promote pax east and the pax east after party. I'm going to try to stream every night up till thursday when I leave.

    For those folks who are going to already be in town on Wed. we are having a little pre-PAXEast warm-up and friendly gathering at RedBones in Somerville. It is a short ride from the Hynes via the Red Line from the Park St. Station. Check out this thread for more details and shoot me a pm if you have any questions.

    BTW, a special welcome to Boston goes out to Matlock. I noticed you live in Jax. I went to JU and lived there for 7 years in the late 80's early 90's (YES, I am old).

    Most people won't be getting on until tomorrow. Coldbrew is on the train from Seattle right now, and apparently there's another PAXer on it with him. I didn't have anybody else on the roster, so it's either a lurker who joined without telling us, or somebody just accidentally got on the same train. Either way, at least he has somebody to talk to over the next couple days.

    So, we totally failed at getting sims yesterday, sorry, ZeroHourHero! i'm now at the apple shop with Willeth, and we're about to go to AT&T to try to get sims there, then we're going to a cafe on boylston/newbury to meet up with LewieP. I'll phone you as soon as I can, and sort out a lunch meet up 9 and chocolate share)

    Well, this another Brit who's just arrived, staying at the downtown Cortyard on Trement Street...
    Would love it if anyone could suggest things to do between now and the sony move demo/Pokecrawl Thursday night!

    Anything to take me mind of what is now gonna be a hellish return flight in a week... (f*****g Unite...)

    Some of us will be getting together tomorrow in Somerville for food. Check Waterborn's post above.

    It'll be fairly typical Southern food, so it counts as a tourist activity, in a way.

    I'm thinking about going to the Sony thing tomorrow and then skipping out in time to catch the dinner.

    finally here, and after all the worries about the flights its at the hotel i get problems. :( mix up with credit cards i.e. them not charging my stay to the card used to take the booking. so i'm booked up for one night till it gets sorted, and seriously going out of my mind.

    caught the last half of the MMT after arriving and unpacking at the hotel. had a good time, looking forward to more touring. I need to buy new shoes. Luckily there is a mall attached to the hotel. how convenient. skype is thunderflush and I will try to get to the lobby at 7 for nerding out.

    Me and Company (3 friends) will be arriving to the Sheraton around noon tomorrow or so. All respect in the world to the Official PAX East Barcrawl (I read it and those people can seriously drink if they follow the rules), but if anyone wants to come to an "Irish Bar/Drink at your Own Pace" bar event, let me know. In any event, we will be carrying the Drunken Torch of the Emerald Isle Thursday night in all probability.

    My friend and I dragged ass out of the airport at 7am this morning, and are looking for neat things to do tonight! We're heading to Club Cafe ( http://www.clubcafe.com/ ) in an hour (~11:30). We've never been before, but the drinks look tasty! Open to suggestions of other parties/gatherings/events that might be happening tonight. :D

    Hey fellow PAXers. My flight gets in tomorrow afternoon and I'm thinking about getting an early dinner (since I'm not signed up for the Pre-pax official dinner) around 430-5ish.     It was good to meet some of you gentlemen around the surface table in the sheraton lobby earlier, we just got back from Lir and it seems the festivities have wrapped up. Having a couple of drinks in the hotel bar before hitting the hay, if anyone wants to join us feel free. Good night and I'll see you all at the dinner / pub-crawl.

    Hey Hoodie, I'm getting into town at around 1:30pm today, and I'm interested in hooking up with some folks for the Sam Adams brewery tour. Let me know if you wouldn't mind pushing your plans back a couple of hours to fit me in (I won't be offended if you don't...plans are plans).
