I know they changed the bug catching contest, now you have to wait another 24 hours or something like that before you can do it again. I think they did the same kind of thing with the Safari Zone.

Unless you're wanting to EV train your Lugia, it's no big deal if it loses the pokerus. You could ask, and about half the people here would probably have a spare PokeAIDS carrier or two they'd be willing to give up.

Well the reason I haven't had a pokevirus pokemon before is because I haven't tried messing with my router settings and can't connect to wifi. I don't plan on ev training lugia but I will want to ev train another pokemon sometime soon

Shove it in a box or put some box trash in your party next to it and go into some battles to try and spread it. Once it's on the box trash, just jam them back in the box and they'll have it forever.

At the stroke of midnight, all Pokemon with Pokerus that aren't in your PC are cured. This happens even if you're not playing at midnight (though I think maybe you can reset your clock because I think the game just checks when you turn it on?). So just make sure to put him in your box when you're done playing for the day or if you're playing close to midnight.

If you're planning on using Lugia, but you want to keep the Pokerus, put a shitty Pokemon in your party with Lugia and get into a couple of battles with wild Pokemon. After the shitty Pokemon catches the virus, just deposit it back in your PC and it won't lose it.

After InvisibleInk gave me Pokerus on my Pearl game, I spread Pokerus to a Bidoof named Patient 0, who I now use to spread Pokerus to everything under the sun. I have carried this tradition over into HG, where I have a Sentret with the same name hiding in my PC.

I've never finished a single Pokémon game before, the farthest I've ever gotten is Saffron City in Red back in the day. Right now I'm doing a little pre-Lt. Surge grind. Let's just say Oddish and Zubat can go fuck themselves.

Yeah no actually BEATING Lt. Surge isn't the problem here. See I'm doing a thing where I'm keeping up the levels of everyone that's gonna evolve by grinding them up to the next gym leader's levels (for Catching 'em All purposes, even though I'm not even doing anything close to a full 151 run). Some of 'em Pokeymans, the grinding's a pain, that's all.

I got 150 twice, once on Red, once on yellow. Yellow also got a Mew but that was from a friend's GameGenie. The closest since that was like 220 on Silver, though tat was 'cause there was trick that you could do to get all 3 of the starters from Elm.

Also just today I figured out you can get some of the trade evolutions from in-game trades (specifically, a Machamp in Yellow). That gave me sort of a 14-year-old giddiness all over again.

Yeah back in the day on my ol' Red I just about had a shot at it. I'd gotten all the ones that aren't in Red from a friend (including a Gamesharked Mew). Then I just sort of stopped playing. That save might still exist, wherever that cart is.

Or just buy a Heart Gold and play through it with a Pikachu as my front pokemon 24/7
