You could always fight Team Rocket =D
We won't have alternative challenges, but we have picked a scope of gym leaders for you to try. Every team should be capable of defeating at least one or two of the leaders - but only the best will defeat all of them!
Our lowest tier leaders have only 3 Pokemon, so a team of 6, even with lower stats, should be able to defeat them.
I meant that IF PPL happens AFTER the launch of the game...

Is there anything us challengers need to do for this, aside from the bringing of A-game?
I would also recommend picking up HG/SS, but D/P/pt will work just as well.
other than that, just be prepared to battle!
Then try to challenge him/her to their badges? That would make for some great publicity and entertainment :P, next comes the outfits and meowth cosplay!
You need to challenge players right after they finish a battle. Or right before they go after the Elite 4.... just to be Gary Mother****ing Oak.
Or just get a Meowth plushie. If anyone does that in my LoS, they get immediate Rocket Badges. Also likely induction in any retinue I may gather....>>;;

also, as for rockets challenging you FOR your badges... these aren't like the PAX challenge badges, that they can be won off you from annother loss, but I would recommend rockets to battle people WITH badges.

but yeah, team rocket is confirmed at the PPL, and I look forward to Gary Oak. Gary should just stand arround after each gym leader and battle you without healing your 'mons
You do realize the Pokemon are healed immediately after each battle, right?

Hahaha yeah but they do heal after the battles ^^ Dont think i want to just stand around haha, cause i want to be doing other PAX stuff, like I know u do as well, but my friends and I will try and help if u want. If this actually works out then I am totally pumped! Gotta get my team to 100s though. Right now they are at 70
So far we have a Gary, Brock, possibly Ash, and other friends who are still deciding :P

It does raise an interesting point. Other than losing the match, there's no real penalty for losing against Team Rocket....I shall have to think on this...
back on topic though, I plan on a super awesome secret cosplay that will be revealed at a later time... but trust me, it'll be freakin' AWESOME!
We're glad to have you both! We don't have any specific meetings planned yet, but if you see any of us in the halls feel free to challenge us for badges! We especially welcome challengers in the various lines we'll be waiting in.
Actual meet-up times will probably depend on the official schedule, but there should be at least one a day.
Ohhhh!! Exciting :P I'm going to hopefully get some of my Gary related stuff this evening. Also, Matev...U RULE for doing Gumshoe and Giovanni. Those two are awesome. I am a huge phoenix wright fan and have cosplayed Klavier Gavin before. Gumshoe is one of my favs though! XD

I actually made an account to say this: this idea is brilliant. I was actually excited enough to read through the whole thread, taking in all the delicious good-ideaness. Makes me sad that I hadn't heard much about PAX until now, as there is little to no chance of me making it. I will definitely have to make it a point to attend next year, and I hope your even goes as planned (so I can participate next year, of course

It sounds like you've got your hands full with Team Rocket... However, I will be cosplaying as Rocket Executive Ariana on Sunday, so you've got one more.
