The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
On the way up you have to walk through a building made up to look like scenes from the Saw movies. The usual stuff you see on franchise rides but it did wonders to increase my anticipation. The ride itself was fantastic. I have bruises from some of the force on this one.
The main point of the thread is this. What is your favorite ride you have experienced? It need not be famous. Obscure rides can sometimes be the best.
At Hershey my favourite will always be Wildcat. I love wooden coasters and the Comet is a sad little thing and some people take Lightning Racers waaaay too seriously.
Montreal's Goliath was the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in Canada for 2 years before stupid Toronto beat us like they've done with everything else in the history of this country.

I, uhh...we...I mean.....who? Us? NEVER!
Haha, this does not surprise me.
I always seem to end up at Hershey on school field trip day so I end up on the ride with 20 some odd 13 year olds who get really into it.
When I was younger I went to a park that I can't remember the name of. They had this ride that was basically a giant wheel you stood inside with your back against the inside wall.
It would then spin and spin and the floor would lower leaving you pinned against the inside of this thing. I went on it about 4 times and I regret that decision for the rest of my life.

I fucking hate these things. But that's because I operated the Gravitron as my #2 ride when I worked at the boardwalk and that thing sucked to be inside for 4 hours.
I really liked this. I really like roller coasters. At Disneyworld it was all thunder and storming and raining so nobody was on the rollercoasters except for us because we're like rain? Lol w/e. That was good stuff.

They had that one at La Ronde long ago, like in the 80s. Called it the Rotor. I went on it once. They took it apart because it wasn't safe or something (or maybe too many people were getting sick in it and it was too much of a pain to clean up).
This is probably one of my favorite roller coasters. My first time on it gave me whiplash. The first drop give you that nice sensation of floating before slamming down and hitting a hard right turn.

The Simpsons ride at Universal is genius if only for the line and the part where they take your picture
Well this and Saw Babies.

You can just feel the puke stains in the seat
That is very similar to another coaster at TP that was down for maintenance on Monday

Man July is when you wanna come. Ain't shit to do in Montreal in May.

Trash talkin at every turn
I went on a relatively small, wooden one at valleyfair in minneapolis and I could just handle it
I will never ride a rollercoaster again
or any ride that goes high up
See, wooden rollercoasters scare me more than new ones.
I mean, that shit is old and rickety.

Rickety is just another word for fun! I love the way an olden wooden coaster creaks at every turn.

it's really tame as rollercoasters go but i really liked it and it got rid of my rollercoaster fear
I hate the way that I pee a little bit at every creak!
ahem.

You think it's gonna fall apart because it's made of 25 year old wood. You'd think that. But that shit's sturdier than the metal rides.
Also: The only thing holding you into that ride is a metal bar on your lap. It's probably more just terrifying than thrilling.
Pshh, I spelled it that way.

Don't ride rides in China
But hands down my favorite ride of all time is Star Tours
