The main problem though has been the fact that the writers have been trying way to hard all season long, trying to cram in reference after reference to try to become relevant after being on hiatus for so long
Plus another problem I have is that even though its a science fiction cartoon, there always was a bit of realism in it. They had a decent explanation as to how some of these things could be possible.
During the first run they had a bit of hard time with the idea of adding time travel into the series, and now they kinda just use it whenever they feel like throwing it in there.
I guess that last reason is a bit sillier than the former but whatever I don't feel like deleting it!!!

there was a whole episode in the second season
called "A Clone of My Own"
the subject of which was how everything the professor does is totally impossible, and at the end of which the Professor's clone realizes how he's done everything in a dream he experienced after being hit in the head
what I am saying is
no
they never went for realism
they literally explained the ship's faster than light capabilities with the Professor's statement, "It came to me in a dream, and I forgot it in another dream"

In the same episode they also claimed to have gotten around the "can't move faster then light" problem by increasing the speed of light.

Just silly!
except that ipod episode, but because that was just fucking horrendous
although again it is a cartoon im asking for a bit much
like i said its a silly reason
The iPod episode isn't far behind.
its not the worst thing in the world, but in the end the season just comes and goes
doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth, but not a good one either
It wasn't really a Time machine. It simply prevents you from aging while time passes. Like the Cryo tube.
Also there's some mystery floating in the pool.
