Haha I just look at the MG4 and am turned off by how old and janky it looks, but ill check it out because I really like the fat magazines on all the lmgs besides the AUG. But the range of the AUG intrigues me, i love plinking at someone real far away with an lmg. Sooo much damage with so little drop off

if you think the MG4 looks old and janky, how do you feel about the RPD? haha.

anyway the AUG is probably the most user-friendly of the LMG's, just slap on some Lightweight and it's basically an AR with no damage drop-off over range.

Oh, no, they (AFAIK) don't. Sorry. I have my 360 set up via VGA cable to my computer monitor, and the sound passed through my desktop.

Just got L86 mastery, my first mastery so far! Not sure if I wanna keep using the L86, get more camo n kills, or try out the AUG which seems pretty good as an Ar-Lmg hybrid.

Do eeet! The aug/MG4 are the highest accuracy lmgs out of the group. They fire noticeably slower than the l86, but a lot easier to control. The aug shines in long range fire-fights especially with the ACOG, and the MG4 has almost no recoil...(someone mentioned that it is essentially the ACR of the lmg group) you'll enjoy them both, give em a spin. See how they do!

Haha I just look at the MG4 and am turned off by how old and janky it looks, but ill check it out because I really like the fat magazines on all the lmgs besides the AUG. With no dropoff**

The LMGs do 30 damage, except for the RPD, AUG, and LSW, which do 40. Three shots and two shots with SP, respectively.

My LMG stats are a pretty good example of how they work. I have all of the challenges complete up to FMJ for all of them, except the M240 which I have like 6 kills total with. The rest of them are at least okay, and for whatever reason I'm a really big fan of L86 grip/thermal. It's like the EBR except it fires full-auto. With a 100 round (magazine?).

I went up against a real life call of duty god today. The guy got a nuke every game for 4 games in a row, without dieing to anything except his own nuke. Everyone would yell "this guys a hacker, he is cheating" or "this guy is a booster", but he wasn't.. I got the jump on him a few times and he always managed to kill me with great speed and accuracy. He used scavenger and would chuck endless flash bangs and decimate our team, and he would always let the noobs filter in first in front of him, and when he killed 3-4 of us he would flash bang and retreat, and when we would follow he would drag us across the map and pick us off 1 by 1. He wouldn't even call in his kill streaks until he got both of his 7 and his 11 and sometimes 2-3 kills after that.

Just watching his kill cams I learned an incredible amount about how to really play call of duty, and using his tactics I was getting 2 AC-130's for each domination game afterwards. Some people are absolutely sick at this game.

I will have to see if he has any youtube video's somewhere

Yes, flash/stuns are seriously under-used in this game. I mean, you have 2 of them a life (unless you use scav) and each one will tell you if anyone is in any given room, and allow you to get an instant drop on them cause they are blinded/stunned.

Edit: The best way to know if someone is hiding behind that plant that someone is always hiding behind? Throw a flash, then you don't have to actually look there.

The spider holes are akin to the missile silo section. It doesn't just bust your balls, it nukes them from orbit, bakes the ash into a cake, eats the cake, shits it out, pours acid on it, burns it, snorts it, has a drug crazed night with your mother, and then makes the sun go supernova.

Once you're past that bit, its a little bit easier.

If I could just make a general announcement: While I can't speak for anyone else here, I personally don't care if you haven't got the map pack, feel free to join us when we're playing/we send you an invite.

Because as nice (and expensive) as the maps are, they are still wayyyy too frequent in rotation, which in turn limits the variety in the maps we see. So a lockout every now and then would be welcome.

i've tried to start using flash/stun grenades more. they especially help by disabling claymores. toss one up just about every flight of stairs for safety.

there is a downside for me, though -- if someone is in the vicinity and can see or hear your flash but not close enough to be affected, they now know you're coming.

One thing which gets me about the special grenades is the throw speed. When I'm using the Riot Shield, they're thrown crazy-fast, yet when using something like the MG4, it almost seems like my character has arthritis.

Not that that's going to stop me from using the MG4 <3

I hadn't thought about it, but Storm and Overgrown do seem to come up constantly. Those two, and Favela and Invasion seem to make up 75% of the games I play.
Favela can die in a fire though, hate that map.

And I think I need 8 more kills to master the TAR. I'm at 9/10 for mastery, and just need Extended Mags. That will be my first mastery, woo.

I was so so disapointed in the M240. It looked completely awsome, it was the unlock I was waiting for as I leveled up. I jumped into a matched with it, pointed at someone, held down the trigger and died a few seconds later after not getting a hit marker. It got worse from there.

if someone gets hit by the explosion--which does a minor amount of damage-- you get a hit marker. Anything that damages an opponent generates a hit marker. including exploding cars/barrels. so if you throw a FB and get a hit marker, you know someone is there.

No, that's just a weird quirk of the UI. Normally it gives you the blue symbol, but in Hardcore it only gives you the hitmarker.
