The fire starter is kind of disappointing, but I'll wait to see its evolutions before judging completely. Still, it's definitely no kung-fu chicken/kung-fu monkey like the last ones.

Hmm, if they give the starters types that give them an advantage against the opposite type as they have in Sinnoh (Ground, Fighting, Steel respectively) I wonder if they'll repeat this secondary typing again (though I'm all for Pure Grass/Fire/Water starters.

Water and Ice(lol!)? Flying(what? wings would totally make that design better, it already has everything else)? Fighting?

My first impressions were that the grass starter was awesome, the fire starter was cute, and the water starter was fugly. Looking at them again, I think they all look pretty good, even the otter. It's gonna be hard to choose, methinks...

or at least until someone throws down a Dark Ritual Magic Card and that Sea Otter becomes the feared King of Otters so covered in blood the waters of the world's rivers is not enough to wash it clean....

I just want there to be a pure flying type, really.
I don't really get why normal/flying pokemon aren't just flying pokemon. It is kind of like how there weren't any pure rock pokemon in the original generation for no real reason.
Well, huh. Learn something new every day. Whatever the case, snakes used to have legs and are occasionally born with them due to genetic abnormalities and mutations and whatnot. The genes are there, they just aren't active.
And Grass-starter's limbs look pretty underdeveloped and weak, too. Maybe it'll lose them upon evolving. It'd be cool to have a limbless snake starter final form.

I had the genius idea of using a focus sash endeavor ratata to catch all my legendaries.
And then I discovered that the focus sash disappears if its used and I was all like
No it doesn't. It's effect is once per battle though.

Collected Lizard is cool. I will name him Simon and he will battle with his unrestrained rednecky Treecko brother also named Simon. Also they will solve crimes It would be hilarious if it becomes a boxing Grass Fighting.
Fire Pig. Ahaha! Maybe a fire ground for it's final?
