Here's the new thread, and my obligatory followup post to hold space in case I need some overflow from the OP.

Also I'm reposting Honest D's event post from the last thread. It's not a fully open to the public event so PM Honest D for your RSVP:
GreenWitch and Honest D's Victoria Day Long Weekend Barbecue Season Kickoff Party (or GWAHDVDLWBSKP for short)!
    Sunday, May 23, 12 noon-whenever you leave!

Come and join the fun as we show off the latest (and hopefully last) additions to the garden. Hang out and eat a burger, or show off your mad grill skills. Rock Band, Smores, Christmas Lights, Fun, Family, you name it, it’s there! If you can stay after dark, it’s totally worth your while

We’re kicking it pot-luck open house style, so if you’re coming early, breakfast type foods are the order of the day, and if you’re coming later, then it’s salads and BYOM!

    RSVP soon and RSVP often!

Annnnd Teenychicka was looking for other people who might be heading down to the Seattle Folk Fest to eat meat on a stick and oggle Topless Belly Dancers with her. I beleive we were still evaluating interest on that one, so feel free to continue discussing the event here.

@ACC3SS: Has JIMZ closed down? Their websie is MIA so I didn't want to start posting any details on an event there yet.

EDIT: Moe you are freakishly efficient. I think the old thread got locked with five minutes of the new one going live. You are my hero. lol.

Some fast facts about what I for one consider the main event of Folklife:

    A DOUBLE DOSE OF USK

Saturday, May 29th - USK, KGHB, SeanBad, and Substandard, at the Georgetown LAB (aka the SLAB, 1010 South Bailey, Seattle). Tickets are $5 and the show is at 7pm. Further reading:
    http://www.crunchyco.com/2010/05/upcoming-events-in-may/

Sunday, May 30th - USK, Nordloef, Fighter X and Spamtron (and I have a hunch a possible surprise guest appearance by Nullsleep, he's on tour in the area), at EMP Sky Church (a Folklife venue, 325 Fifth Avenue North, Seattle). Admission to all of Folklife is of course free (suggested donation of $10) and the show is at 3pm. Further reading:
    http://8bitcollective.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=19333

I know most to all of you can't or don't want to go, but this really is the chance of a lifetime. USK is a rare and mysterious deity. Teenychicka and I will be taking the Greyhound down to Seattle Friday morning and coming back Sunday night. Contact either of us for more details if you wish to join us.

As an aside, I finally registered for the forums. Hello world.

Depending on who I'm carpooling out there with I may be there a little later, but be there I shall.

    Also, New Event A:

ABSINTHE WANTS TO BE ABLE TO TALK ABOUT IRON MAN 2 IN FRONT OF ACC3SS WITHOUT SPOILING IT NIGHT 1.0
    Or Aww-tee-bat-amy-foe-sea Night (AWTBATTAIMIFOAWSI Night)
    When: Friday 6:50 PM
    Where: The Rio

I'm dragging ACC3SS out to see Iron Man 2. Anyone who didn't join out group opening night should come along and see it too. *pokes Sumi and +1*

Potential New Events B and C:

Anyone want to do some Laser Tagl on either June 4 (Friday) or 5 (Saturday)?

Lets pick a night. I'm free for both so whichever night we don't do Laser Tagl I'm doing a movie night on the big screen at my place. Why? Because the novelty has yet to wear off on saying 'the big screen at my place.' Space will be limited for the movie night so PM an RSVP if you want to come over for it.

Currently I'm looking for either movies bad enough to give the Mystery Science Theatre treatment to, or movies good enough that Trotsky will not have the urge to give the Mystery Science Theatre treatment to them.

ACC3SS has submitted one movie already that definately fits in the first category.

Currently I'm looking for either movies bad enough to give the Mystery Science Theatre treatment to, or movies good enough that Trotsky will not have the urge to give the Mystery Science Theatre treatment to them.

    Dragon Wars: D Wars.

There's a flashback inside of a flashback inside a flashback inside a flashback inside a flashback.

Also, dinosaurs with fricken' lazerbeams on their fricken' heads.

    Dragon Wars: D-Wars was Z'AWESOME :D

    "What are you talking about?!"
    Lady walks into wall.
    Every vehicle that crashed exploded.
The Apache pilot pulled out a pistol to shoot the dragon off the side of the cockpit.

    Instant classic.
