Where: Our house
When: Saturday, Sept 25, say, round about 3pm onward?
Why: Because that PAX feeling shouldn't only last one (or two) weekends a year.
The usual caveats apply... PM me for my address, and you're only welcome if we've met at another event or are vouched for by other members of the usual suspects.
I'd like to get a game of Four Swords Adventures (not THOSE four swords, ACC3SS!) going, so if you have your GBA and a GBA/GC link cable, please bring em!
Just got internet set up today. Previous tenants' telecom disconnected my cable (goddamn Shaw).
But now I'm officially moved into my apartment.
Too bad I missed FTW however I'd love to meet you guys, so consider me up for anything else down the road. I'm living in Marpole neighbourhood currently. Working down on West 4th and Arbutus.
I *might* be going...but the show starts at 9:30 and there's an opening act, so Protomen probably won't be on until like...11 at least. Then I have to get back to New West and sleep before being up at 5:15 for work tomorrow morning.
It's really tempting though...I guess I can roll my lack of sleep into my PAX weekend.
Holy crap, that's close enough that I could stumble home. Only problem is, I'm still dead tired from PAX, didn't get in to town until around 11pm, didn't get to bed until 1am, and had to be up at 6 to send my brother off to the airport. I'm also spending all day trying to fix a server that blowed up real good on Friday, so as much as I'd like to curl up under my desk and have a nap, that just ain't gonna happen.
I'm gonna try to make it, though.
Also, I've decided I'm going to try to take up D&D, so I'm on the lookout for a group that would be willing to show me the ropes.
Have you played/do you own Munchkin honestd? I got my hands on it a while ago and I'm wondering if it's any good.

I think this game does well with geeks of all stripes, but RPG geeks seem to like it best (MMO or Pen and Paper). After the humour of the first couple plays, it's essentially a co-op/negotiation game with a heavy "Frenemy" bent. Think of it as Cosmic Encounter: The Card Game.
Munchkin can be really good or really bad, depending on who you're playing with :P I enjoy it though, most of the time. I wanna try out Munchkin Quest sometime though, as I haven't played that.
Also, honestD, I will almost certainly be attending your BBQ this year...because I bbq's and your guys' place is awesome to hang out. I might be interested in trying out Ravenloft too
Ran almost twice as long as any of their PAX sets. They played the entirety of Act II and a bunch of Act I.
Aside from that, might it be possible to have some of the upcoming events added to the OP? it's getting hard to tell what we've got left happening before newthread.

I'll put HonestD's BBQ in the OP if he wants it there. Previously it hasn't been a totally public event so his BBQs have never been in the OP before.
There's nothing else to add at the moment as no one has decided on a date for Go-Karts. :P
