I've seen something similar happen before. When I tried to use Global IME (a foreign language input program) for a title it create some weird code for a title and screwed up the author window size.

Information is viral. What you do to others will be turned back on you. For example, I know of a particularly evil and innocuous way to fuck with users on other boards. I won't do it because I don't want the info out there so it can be used against us.
