    Hey, all next week I'll be passing acidified water samples through a plasma torch to instantly ionize them so my mass spectrometer at the end of a quadrapole magnet can detect them via mass. Anyone in eastern PA who wants to see shit get scienced can come see. Well, first you have to sign a non-compete clause and probably sit through 2 hours of safety shit because it's a semi-industrial site, but hey.

    I wish I could, but we're an industrial site as well as a research center, so you would have to go through OSHA training and I would have to get 78 layers of management to OK it. If you go near any of the grinding equipment, it's MSHA, which is like 10x as anal as OSHA. I guess because mining and mining equipment is kind of "one fuck up and you may die" kind of stuff.

    I'm in Ottawa so I can't go. I've got this thing called Meuniere's disease and have been having episodes for the past week. I would drive but would probably get pulled over.
