so is it wrong to typecast a group of people who generally fill such a role?

    They can protest all they want. It won't change a thing. In the 80's the Russians were the greatest evil to be found in movies and now the easiest villan for an audiance to accept are people from the middle east.

    It's unfortunate, but things like this in the media are not new by any means.

    You know what was funny? When a bunch of people for the ethical treatment for the mentally insane protested the game Twisted Metal Black for it's negative portrayal of homicidal maniacs.

    Last time Islam got pissed off and offended by the media some of them shot a nun in the back. Maybe if they practice this 'protesting' stuff they'll eventually learn how to do it where innocent people aren't killed, then we won't have the stereotype anymore.

    I'm surprised by the protest, actually. 24 seems to have made it a theme to point out unfounded prejudice and stereotypes as "bad" things.

    See dude that tries to kill Ahkhekhkhkghmed. See jack slamming car into terrorist's car. See entire subplot with Muslim organization personnel files.
