Inverse color scheme button?

Would it be possible to have one of these? I love reading the site but I find after a lengthly news post or article my eyes are beset by blue lines rendering me dazzled, to put it into gaming terms. I feel this is caused by the white text on the dark background. I've seen this button on other sites and it's a neat addition to them, offering a chance to play with and customize (to a limited degree) your experience. Not to mention making the text easier to read for us who suffer from weak eyes.

If you happen to be using a Mac, you can just hit ctrl-alt-apple-8 to invert colours pretty much any time.
