I need to learn that in Red Dead so I know what I'm doing in real life.
First timer for PAX, so I haven't thought too much beyond my DS, but I figure lines will be full of sociallizing.
Oh and I'll probably have decks of cards and a game called Pass the Pigs (even more awesomly dumb than it sounds).
Remember when you're in line to keep your eyes peeled for the Cookie Brigade! We're always there to provide delicious nomables, and we accept donations for Child's Play! Just look for the crazy people with boxes of cookies!

Some of the lines will have organized activities in them run by Enforcers or other groups. There are many long lines, but we try to make them as fun as possible. Portable games like DS, CCG, and dice are great to have with you for the especially long ones.

The Get In Line Games crew has definitely made the lines more interesting. Considering that I'll probably be in multiples lines for hours at a time, a DS alone might not work, so I hope they bring some more activities and entertainment to the table this time around.
I'll have my PSP + a stack of games to keep me amused, but somehow I think the fact that I'll be walking around in full Clear Sky uniform will be its own source of amusement. My Russian accent needs more practice!
Also, pickup games of mafia in longer lines will probably happen if you're close to me. Oh, and does anyone else know the samurai game?
I love mafia! Apparently I need to find where you're standing in line.
Last year I played the DS, chatted, and if I was feeling antisocial, broke out the Kindle. I started the weekend carrying around a bunch of card games (Guillotine, Uno, Phase10, etc) but got tired of carrying them and left in the car the rest of the time :-P
Most likely DS and socializing. These lines are probably the best lines ever. I spent all day looking for a friend that I've never seen before. Turns out in the line for the make a strip panel she was right next to me the entire time and we finally met up when I mentioned the friends description.

Zombie Dice, Martian Fluxx, and Super Munchkin will definitely be in my bag, as well as any other games I can thnk of that we can pick up and move should we have to. I've only been to East, but there were were able to bust out hour-long games on the floor until about an hour prior to opening, when some condensing of the line started.
Keep in mind that Get In Line Games is only for the main theater and queue room. The satellite theaters and lots of other stuff (anything involving Wil Wheaton) will also have long lines, so bring stuff to keep yourselves amused. Or don't, and just keep your eyes open. You never know what might happen.
And on a similar note, show up for anything you really care about an hour in advance, no matter where it is or how big the theater might be. Check in with the enforcers in charge of that thing and ask them what the situation is for the line. Sometimes we'll start lining people up an hour early, if the interest is there. I had several situations at East where people would show up and I'd say, "Well, there's no line yet, but if you want to start one, come right over here." Within 20 minutes there were 50 people in line, easy. It happens really quickly. Always better to overestimate your wait time than underestimate and not get in.

I'll have my DS for the Pax Pokemon League, Dragon's Lair and Space Ace on my iPhone (Play-play-pass will be in effect for cool kids that want to try their hand at the Lair.) Dicenomicon on iPhone should allow me to play Liar's dice. I'll likely also have a couple magic decks on hand for slower lines. And this is in addition to any other deviousness I can get up to.

Please do, there will be 9 school girls and 4 men in Kilts in the lines that morning. Four of us will be in the disability access. There will be Joygasms (chocolate chip cookies) and Sin Droppings (no bake oatmeal cookies) and we appreciate donations for Child's Play. It is for a good cause.

Ok, it just made my day to see me in your flikr. Splicers FTW!
I intend to bring a bunch of dice (d6s), for a variety of dice games (my fave is the one from Pirates of the Caribbean, one of the later ones (third, perhaps?). Also, my entertainment is (for the most part) interaction w/ people. I try to get a bunch of photos w/ the entertaining cosplays - and the reactions I get when I ask people for a hug for a photo are simply amazing. ;D
Either chatting up the people around me, or playing Aye Dark Overlord, which I just picked up and is hilarious with the right group of people:
The concept of the game is that one player is the Dark Overlord, Rigor Mortis and the others players are his Goblin Servants. The Dark Overlord starts the game by asking his servants a question about the results of the last mission he sent them on, after which the servants need to make up a story to excuse any failures on their parts and to avoid angering the Dark Overlord.
A player’s turn begins when the Dark Overlord addresses them or when they have been played a “Pass the Buck” Card. The player then will start to construct his story using a series of Hint cards and end the turn when they play a “Pass the Buck” card on someone else or when they get a Withering Look from the Overlord.
The Hint cards have various different object and action on them; anything from “Fashionable Shoes” and “The Impossible Artifact” to “The Desperate Situation” and “A Window onto the World”. Players need to include the things on their cards in their story. They will end their round by playing a “Pass the Buck” card along with one of their Hint cards on another player. That player then needs to include whatever is on that card into their story and continue on. The stories start to get rather crazy and outlandish as the game goes on, with rounds ending with things like, “and after making the peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich, I heard a noise and saw a mummy standing behind Karen! And you won’t believe what she did! Karen, tell our Overlord what you did!”, as a card with “Mummy!” on it is played on Karen.
As the Overlord listens to the story, he can, at any time, play a “Withering Look” card on the player or players in question. The really fun part about this is that the Overlord can play these cards for any reason he wishes to: if he doesn’t like the direction the story is going, if a player pauses to long, if The Overlord doesn’t like the tone of the players voice, if he’s bored; any reason at all. Once a player receives his third “Withering Look”, he must then make a plea for mercy. If he is successful, the Overlord may spare his life; if he is not successful, then he is to blame for whatever occurred and loses the game.
A couple years ago we brought Risk to play in line, but the line bunches up too much to keep a boardgame setup. A card game, especially one that relies more on player interaction than the cards themselves, seems perfect.
Just curious what your plans are for waiting in lines are...WHAT, you haven’t though of anything to do? Best get to thinking.
If you sit near me I will be breaking out the liar's dice. Your plans?
We were planning on taking the card and idols from Forbidden Island game, and a small cloth we could slide the tiles as we moved through the line without disrupting the game. Gabe and Tycho recommended it, and while it seems so simple - we have managed to lose every time and still laugh about it. I imagine you could also reduce the size of the "island" just by pulling out a certain number of scenes and cards. (It would probably speed up the game too.)
I love that game because it's usually about 20-30 minutes long to play, if you're using the whole deck if you will, and it's true - every time you restart the game, it's different. (But the rules never change. So it's actually super fast to start having fun.) Another neat thing is that because you're all on the same team if you will, everyone has fun and no one ends up sulking. *jk* You literally have to partner together if you want to win.
That and of course, our Nintendo DS and tetris on my phone. Sometimes though, the best times are chatting it up without a screen in your face. I've met some of the most remarkable people who have unbelievable jobs, or have been to amazing places.
I'm normally skeptical of people I don't know, but generally at PAX, people are funny and laid back.
I'm personally a fan of Monty Python fluxx myself.

I shall have a set of Munchkin Cthulhu and 2 Magic decks on me, one standard, one EDH.
I love talking to my neighbors, it's awesome to talk to people with very similar interests.

I'm bringing my Ipod Touch with Dice app Diceinomicon <sp>), me, and a desire to meet new people and learn new games.

On a more pragmatic note, has anyone thought about the physicality of sitting on a hard concrete floor for hours? I was thinking about some kind of inflatable cushion to sit down on. Something akin to this, but less yellow. Anyone have any thoughts?

So I just learned liar's dice and now I will definitely also be bringing dice. Which works cuz I have a million dice. Physical dice. Dice on my droid. Dice on my ipod. I have so many dice, I have dice inside my dice.
I've learned a few things from going to other cons and waiting in long lines. So I know what to bring:
- At least a few granola/nutrition bars.
- A water bottle that won't easily spill.
- A camera, in case I see something amazing.
- A DS for Pictochat, and occasionally gaming. (I'm currently obsessed with the partly translated Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side, so don't be surprised if you see some weird fan holding a DS on its side.)
- A few card games. I'll bring Uno, Phase 10, and Apples to Apples.
- Decent health and a good attitude. (It's never good to be in line when you're tired, sick, or annoyed.)

But seriously, might play a few games on the DS
