    I love Big John.

So, Josh's corner man handed Josh his kneepads over the cage. I thought that was really wierd, putting them on after the pat down. Big John comes in, says no no, makes Josh take them off. Proper, thanks John.

JZ is looking great, I don't remember what his cardio is like but if he can maintain this Josh is going to have a tough time tonight.

Diamn, pretty interesting round. I'm surprised Cavalcante tried to hold that guillotine for *so* long even while Thompson seemed unaffected by it.

That fight wasn't bad. I think Thomson won this one. JZ didn't escape from Thomson's submission in the first round because he got saved by the bell.

Well that was a terrible call. One judge calling it 30-27 Thompson? What the fuck.

Hah, Thompson telling the judges they need to figure out how to judge these fights. It's so true...

Yeah, good sportmanship for him to say that, very true. Not like crappy judging in MMA is anything new, still sucks though, especially for such a close and entertaining fight.

I don't really like or dislike Noons, but he needs to cut his fucking hair. He's constantly reaching up to sweep it out of his eyes, which kind of leaves him open. Not that Diaz is taking advantage of it I suppose.

This fight is very interesting right now. Diaz had the momentum the first round, but in the second, he definitely lost that round.

Then again, Diaz doesn't usually win until he's bleeding and losing the fight. He still has three rounds to pull off a submission or get his hands together.

I think Diaz won round 3, he seemed to have more rhythm than Noons. Noons has some weird movement... he doesn't really move his head much, just leans way over, and usually gets caught.

Certainly a very technical striking fight I suppose.

3 -1 Diaz right now. Noon's punches look powerful but they don't seem to affect Diaz much, and on the other hand, Noons reacts to Diaz's knees and punches.

KeaNoons is actually leaving himself more open when he leans forward, and when Diaz pulls his head down.

Too bad There Is No Knee.

Diaz definitely won this one. He should've gone for a finish to make the statement, but this was fine too. Definitely a war of stamina.

Noons' head went so low at some points that Diaz should have just soccer kicked him in the face.

    Showtime.

If you ain't scared, get ready because I'm ready to bet avatar/sig on Diaz. Any takers?

I would never bet agasint that scary motherfucker.

As for 120, I know what you mean about the 2 "main events" both could go either way.

If Pyle beats Hathaway I will eat my shoes. John is the future at 170.
    seasons shoes just in case

LOL Venkman, you remind me of Gareth A. Davies. You always pull for the british fighters.

But yeah, I like Hathaway, alot... hes a very promising prospect.

Not always, I am picking Akiyama to beat Bisping.

Wanting UK fighters to do well is a side effect of training with a fair few of them at my mates gym, but it's not blind nationalism rather a reaction to the amount of hate we get on Sherdog. I want them to do well so I can lord it over the anglophobic e-thugs. ;)

As for Davies, that guy makes me cringe at times, he would pick James Thompson to beat Fedor....

Hahahaha, what the fuck. Thats crazy, I wonder if there's any way to substantiate that, especially the jaw thing? Jaws are tricky, since someone's ability to take shots is not just will-power alone. People have "chins" of varying qualities, and no matter how much they want it, sometimes a punch will just put someone out. Having a broken jaw I don't think would help in that quality.

There's a rumor that Diaz threw a water bottle at Mayhem after the fight, but I'm not so certain of that one.

Anyway, don't underestimate Diaz's strength. The hundreds of pillow hand strikes accumulate when he finally throws some power shots.

The absence of Gus Johnson increased my enjoyment of that Strikeforce event tremendously. I hope they stay with Miletich, Shamrock and Renallo in the future.

Man that first round of the Thomson / Calvalcante fight was amazing. Thomson is probably my favorite AKA fighter right now. He has a very exciting style, and is made even more enjoyable to watch since its so obvious he has alot of fun himself while fighting. Its too bad Zuffa doesn't seem very interested in him, since theres no other AKA teammates in his way in the 155 pound division.

It'd be awesome if he fought against Benson Henderson, another exciting scrambler / grappler.

The statistics for Diaz/Noons was false. Noons only landed 155/611.

So basically, Diaz has just won in every single way. The debate (luckily it wasn't here because the debate was retarded) is over.

Do we know how reliable compustrike is? Strikeforce had its own stats, and they showed Noons having the advantage in both number and percentage of strikes landed. Which I had a hard time believing, but I don't know how authoritative any of these sources are. I generally use Fightmetric, and I know that has been accused of being inaccurate many times.

That alone would make it pretty inaccurate, I think. Especially if they only have access to the same video feed as the rest of us viewers.
