A proposal to fellow musicians...

I had an idea that I thought might be fun, if anyone's interested...

One of the friends attending PAX with my group is not as much of a geek as the rest of us, and is attending mostly to see the concerts and for general camaraderie. He is a musician though, and will therefore be spending most of his time in the Jamspace. I myself will be spending some time there, since I am a singer/lyricist and a fan of music. In the spirit of PAX's legendary ability to bring people together to accomplish cool things, I was thinking: why not start a band?

Here's the idea: like minded people meet up in Jamspace, form a band (or bands, depending on how many are interested), write and rehearse some songs, and have a mini-concert on the third day. Maybe we can get some word of mouth and get a crowd together to watch. If not, we still will have had some fun and hopefully met some cool people. The whole thing will be very relaxed. If we don't quite work up the inspiration to write or perform anything, whatever, we'll just jam.

If this sounds like fun to you, reply. Or just find us in the Jamspace. I'll be wearing a green Dickies jacket with a name-tag that says "Porterhouse".
