hi all, some of you may have seen the interactive fiction (IF) related panel on the PAX schedule ('Making stories worth playing', at 3:30 on Friday in the Wolfman theater). I'm also happy to announce the Seattle interactive fiction group will host a few more events this weekend, and we'd like to invite you to hang out with us in our IF freeplay room at the Sheraton. We'll have games running, snacks, and IF CDs all set up with games and authoring software for your enjoyment.
Talk about text adventures, play some games hand-picked by us, sit in for panel discussions, try writing some IF, and watch a screening of the recently released GET LAMP, a documentary about text adventures, on Saturday night with its creator Jason Scott.
The highlights of our schedule:
Friday
- 'Making stories worth playing' panel at 3:30 PM in the Wolfman theater
- Action Castle! at 5:30 PM
Saturday
- 'IF development' panel at 11 AM
- IF authoring workshop and game jam at 1 PM
- 'Characters in IF' roundtable at 5 PM
- GET LAMP at 8 PM on Saturday with director Q&A
and more on
Sunday too. Full schedule at
http://if.seattle.wa.us/pax-2010/schedule/.
Everything takes place at the Sheraton next to the convention center in
room 2516.
We've also created
