tip: Try not to accept many cities from a nation at once in a peace treaty deal. I guess a common bug is that even if you choose to puppetify everything you received, the game still wants you to Choose Production!!! for them.
So then you get stuck until you annex every last one and choose a production for 'em. Goodbye any sense of happiness your civilization held.
I guess it's a common issue - not sure if it's been brought up here.

City-State liberations are so nice.
Even if another civ has the policy that makes your relationship with them go down faster, it's still a hell of a long time before you even have to worry about that.

if it's on low/medium the textures don't load right and everything is red
