The latest issue of Japanese games mag Famitsu confirms what we've been expecting for a long, long time: Team ICO's classic PlayStation 2 adventures Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are getting an HD makeover for the PlayStation 3.

I love Shadow of the Colossus with all of my heart. Every single inch of it. Every game is compared to it. In my opinion Gears of War didn't have enough horses that had my back no matter WHAT.

    While I liked God of War I II and III a whole whole bunch, this game and that game are worlds and worlds and worlds apart

    The whole reason behind doing HD versions of these old games is pretty much based on God of War Collection's success

    It took them seven weeks total to port both of those onto one disc and they made bank off of it

    Shadow of the Colossus was actually a pretty decent sales success (in America, anyways)

    Big epic-scale battles are awesome, but sometimes I just wanna run up and stab something in the face without having to grapple my way up it's ass first.

    Picked up Ico on day one of release after playing the shit out of the demo that came in an issue of OPM (and the solution to that puzzle was different in the final game! Awesome!)

    I remember being so bummed looking at the awful box art, because I wasn't really too into using the Internet back then and hadn't actually seen it beforehand

    Uncharted 2 is probably the best game on the system, you know, technically speaking and all

    But Infamous is straight-up the most fun game I've played this entire gen
