I can understand people not wanting to talk about their er, alternative lifestyle because it isn't popular and none of anyone's business, but unless you filed for multiple marriage certificates and you just all live together and screw and stuff I didn't think the sheriff could come beating down your door. I thought that compound (Warren Jeffs?) that was in the news was busted because the guy "married" some underage girl - or maybe more than one, I don't know.
the news post reminds me of something a muslim guy told me. someone asked if he was a polygamist once so he replied "men already die 6 years younger than women, if I had two wives I would probably be in my grave 10 years sooner."

wow, ok, after reading the newspost I decided to watch the new Bioshock trailer Tycho was talking about
Yeah it seems to be generally accepted that heavily scripted or not, it's still mighty impressive
I for one don't mind linearity as long as it's fantastic

My favorite part of that trailer is how the website just plays an advertisement at me and then asks if I want to replay it, and I never actually get to see the fucking video I came for.

Yeah you just have to click yes and sit through the stupid ad three times and it'll play. I had the same issue.
the gameplay trailer is available for viewing on Xbox Live if you don't like the computer way right now.
and while that is scripted, its primary purpose is to show in-game models and things they're working on.
the question that comes to mind from that, however, is how intuitive they're going to make the story telling during actual gameplay this time around. because that trailer heavily hints at you doing what you want to do within parameters of the current stage while the story continues on.
kind of a blend of the linear model that Bioshock-type story telling needs paired with a bit of open-endedness that game players have come to like/expect
