I threw out the old OP because most of it was rehash, obvious or outdated. Herein lie your thread guidelines:

1. Level-headed people wanting to have a good time playing Halo and dicking around, or posting stupid screen shots and movies feel free to add A PA ReachMulti to your friends list.

2. Do you feel the ever constant need to brag about kill/death ratio and how awesome you are? Here's the MLG FORUMS for Reach. Therein you can complain to your silly goose heart's content about how awesome MLG is and you can have no less than 72 virgins to be your personal Yesmen. Stop shitting this thread up with it. We're casuals for the most part and don't care.

This is gonna sound reaaaaallly stupid. But can someone explain to me what Griffball is? I haven't played Multiplayer Halo since a month or two after Halo 3 released.

It looks like some weird sport/bomb game, but the one video I saw was so chaotic I wasn't sure how it was playing. It looked amusing however.

Grifball is from the Red Vs Blue folks. It's 4 on 4 assault with Swords and Hammers. The bombcarrier becomes Orange, like Grif from the series, and gains a speed boost and over shielding. Each of the 5 rounds starts with the bomb in the center the arena. The arm time on the bomb is instant.

    CATCH THE FEVER.

One generator to defend, one life. You have the ability to lock the generator (for 30 seconds at a time) so it doesn't take damage. After 30 seconds, it unlocks and can take damage for about 5 seconds. On the plus side, they give you an overshield and infinite ammo. Most of the time I end up using a jetpack and a fuel rod cannon.

It's a gametype created by the community, taking the name and basic concept from a joke in a Red vs Blue PSA.

Two teams of 4, armed with gravity hammers and swords. The playing field is completely clear of anything but a neutral bomb in the center and an arm point behind each team's spawn points. When you pick up the bomb, you get an overshield and faster movement speed. Object of the game is to plant the bomb (instant detonation time) to score a point.

Yes, it's very chaotic. It can also be a lot of fun.

Basically, everyone starts out with hammer/Swords and have next to no shields or health.

There's a ball in the middle of the court, whoever grabs it gets 150% move speed and shields

the goal is to plant the ball in the opposing teams goal, where the bomb will arm and detonate instantly

It's really hard and all around hilarious trying to score

Hm. Now I want to see a griffball where the arming platform is in the air but the carrier can't jetpack. Thus relying on his teammates to launch him into it. It would be horrible.

It was a fairly valid tactic in Halo 3 griffball! Pretty frustrating watching the bomb carrier sail over us, let me tell you.

I finally hit Major tonight. Got my new duds on, and in my exhaustion decided to play one more game before I called it a night. SWAT comes up.

I get off to a rough start, and this one dude starts tea bagging me like nonstop after a routine kill. Like it was a big deal.

Oh but it didn't end well for him. I ended up killing him for the next 5 or 6 times we encountered, including one being an assassination. I completely decimated his corpse with excess bullets and teabags every.single.time. We won by about 10 kills on top of that.

Damn it feels good to be a gangsta.

It was the greatest thing on the version with low gravity for the bomb carrier. You could get launched literally like a hundred meters into the air and land in the opposing goal.

Guys have you noticed that if you get killed while activating an AA it keeps going even while you're dead? I've held the AL button, and the EMP burst pops out around my corpse. Also holding the Jetpack button will make your corpse fly up into the air. Unfortunately I only did it for a second; I was pretty surprised.

Did some Score Attack grinding to get the 400 FF kills, I may just pull myself out of the Warrant Officer ranks yet.

On that note, holy hell is Sniper Attack fun. Unlimited ammo meant I could tear through enemies with the Sniper Rifle, and picking up enemy Fuel Rod Cannons and Gravity Hammers made it even more ridiculous.

Evade is also a very fun ability.
