    So there is this guy:

    He is a normal type.

    He's got an ability that doubles the power of any attack which has recoil.

    He learns an attack that has a base attack power of 120. It is a normal type attack.

    He has 110 base attack.

    So basically this attack does more damage than explosion does coming from most pokemon.

    Yeah, I believe on the Smogon description of Focus Sash it says that you still die from recoil.
