ludicolo is a way better one, but yeah
Right, the leaf storm combo is pretty sweet, but most if not all but one, of it's special attacks are grass, which isn't that great of an offensive type. maybe fully buffed with leaf storm he could do some harm, buut, kinda don't think it will work.

when you're ready, mirror coat it to hell and back
or replace sub with leaf storm if you want a little more versatility
none of the starters are actually that great in the big picture
infernape or now, blaziken are still the go to fire starters, empoleon is still king of water, and, well, grass is not that great all around but my guess would be torterra simply for the addition of a ground type
still, fire pig has some neat options, which is why I like him over grass snake thing and water shell dude

Fire pig might not be the best fire starter but with reckless and his high physical attack and hp stats i think he can lay down some hurt.
Also Torterra isn't that great from my experiences. ice beam just ruins him too much. and every team has ice beam and everyone knows ice beam is going to be a 1 hit ko. Which sucks, Torterra is a boss.
