Did a search for a thread on the game and couldn't find anything. Thought since it's being released within a month we can get some discussion going and some more interest in it.

It's being released on November the 2nd in the US and November 5th in the UK and if the game is as fun to play as it is to watch/listen to I'm going to be all over it. Been looking for a good roaming beat-em-up since God Hand/Devil May Cry 4 and since Batman: The Brave and the Bold was a let-down this looks like it will fit the bill. At the moment it looks like God hand suffering from the inverse ninja theory but still looks damn fun. All I'm asking is for a solid control system, a ball-bustingly hard difficulty level if I want more of a challenge and at least an average 8.0 review score.

I know nothing of the anime/movies or who the characters are, aside from that they feature people exploding from punches and screams of YATATATATATATATATATATATATATA!!! so I may not appreciate this game as much as fans of said movie/s or anime/s.

Anyone else as stoked about this game as I am?

    Dynasty Warriors could be ridiculously hard on the harder difficulty levels.

    But yeah, not a deep combat system

    Well they do more on harder difficulties like all DW games. But for the most part it is cleaving through gazillions of enemies.

    Seeing the gloriously violent style of Fist of the North Star combined with the multi-mook melee of Dynasty/Samurai Warriors somehow warms my heart a little bit, and I'm not even that big of an anime fan.     I can't wait for this.

    I almost went ahead and bought it while I was in Japan, but I heard that the western version is going to be more violent. Also, yay for dual audio!

    Whelp, the demo is a friggen cock tease if I've ever seen one. It's fun, play it, but Jesus is it an insult.

    Edit: BTW the demo is over a gig in size for something that takes a couple of minutes to beat. No literally a couple of minutes, you can beat it in less than 5 min.

    Edit 2: Oh my mistake, apparently you have to play as the secondary character if you want to try the main game..

    Oh my god.

    OH MY GOD.

    This is a fanboy's dream. The fight with Jagi goes just like the book, and playing as rei is fun too. I was kind of disappointed that rei didn't have cool air attacks until I activated that one mode and then he gets these crazy air combos. I'm trying not to spoil the game for myself by looking at the japanese version but I really hope you get to fight juda as rei.

    I'm disappointed that there is no Raoh in the demo at all but I was glad to even be able to play as Rei. I was expecting some lame demo where you fougth mooks as kenshiro for like 5 minutes or something.

    This was my first Anime. I was shocked that they showed cartoon boobies, if I had only known back then what other cartoons show, I wouldn't have been as shocked.

    Is it just me or is the combat slow as balls? After God of War 3 and it's like, that seemed painfully slow.

    WOW, that's messy. Very messy. Apparently we got a LOT more gratuitous violence in our version of the release as opposed to the Japanese one. And yeah, I think this time will be one of the few that I actually use the Japanese language track as opposed to the English dub, 'cause HOT BLOODED BATTLE CRIES don't really seem like the dub cast's forte.

    So, played the demo last night. Pretty boss, but I like Dynasty Warrior-esque games. It's just so delightfully campy.

    I realize that I'm not the hardest audience in terms of this because I really like the DW/SW/WO games, but I loved the demo. If there wasn't so much else going on I'd be buying this day one (which is something I rarely do with these style games).

    So does anyone know what the deal with DLC is for this yet? Like from the japanese PSN or marketplace? Because I'd like for this to be cheaper before I buy it or at least be at K-mart so I can use my coupons as I did have fun with the demo, but both gamestop and amazon have pre-order stuff. Gamestop has Heart with two scenarios and amazon has Outlaw with one scenario. Are these really exclusives, or are they just free DLC that's coming later?

    Also, I don't know if its been said yet but if you have a PS3 and 360, get the PS3 version of this. In a comparison the colors look so much better on the PS3 from the demo. It's ridiculous.

    I really liked that demo, it was dumb fun with the added value of me being a huge Hokuto no Ken fan and having a huge grin on my face the whole time. (I kept killing dudes then pausing for dramatic effect)

    Also did anyone else go "Holy shit, rei has witch time now!?!"

    Both those characters were DLC in Japan so I'm assuming they'll be pay for eventually.

    Why someone would want to pay for Heart is beyond me, tho.

    Okay yeah I was assuming they'd be time exclusive. It's more the principle of the thing that gets me. Well if K-mart gets it in for the PS3 I think I'll be getting it. I wonder if this will be too obscure for them though.

    I read a review from the E3 demo. The guy couldn't stop laughing when Kenshiro kicked a guy in the nuts, then fell on his face. For no reason at all, a LOT of blood began forming from his crotch.

    Playing the game now.

    Switched it for Extreme violence, and Japanese voice w/subtitles.

    I think its about the only way this game SHOULD be played (I usually have no problem with dubs... but this just screams using the Japanese voices.)

    ATATATATATA and Exploding people. Gotta love it.
