I don't understand why you would sell something like that. Make a museum, charge 5 bucks a head.

I'm taking bets on how long it takes someone to make the "I have that in C:\Roms HURR HURR" joke and then how long after that it takes him or her to get banned. Or maybe it should be a pool?

That is not cool. I wouldn't sell that at all. The amount of time it must have took...

I wouldn't be suprised if some of those games DIDN'T exist as roms.

I always want to know this whenever I see these huge collection auctions. All this time spent building it up, and now what?

    That's...That's sad.

The Auction charges too much, IMO...If I had the cash lying around, I wouldn't page more than 1000 dollars for a complete (LOOSE) set.

But I concentrate on unliscened/rare titles, anyway..

Aside from the fact that there were a lot more than 670 games ever made for the NES, that's pretty sweet.

I'm way too tired/lazy to look it up, but 670 sounds pretty close to the number of officially liscened US titles, which is what the auction claims.

But yeah, almost 900, I think...

Any guesses on the final amount this will sell for? ($10,000+ would not surprise me, there is some rare shit in there, and it looks like its all in near perfect condition)

    I'm guessing it won't sell.

10k? That's nuts, unless every cart comes with a pristine box and manual, which it seems clear it doesn't...

Well, unless there is some serious fakery going on there, there have already been 34 bids, and it doesnt end for 6 days.

You know, even if I had the money, I don't think I'd buy that. Part of the fun of collecting NES games for me is the thrill of the hunt.

I...wow. I looked at it and just thought to myself "Huh, that's a lot of games." Then I scrolled down and realized it was 670 games. That's like $5 a game. That just floors me for some reason.

I looked at the auction and sat with a smug grin on my face, realizing that I had some (unlicensed) NES games that weren't in the list.

Then I saw he had a separate auction with a big collection of unlicensed games.

Well considering you thought of it means you may be the one with all the ROMs. So lets ban you.

Anyways other than to start a museum or just that dick who thinks a great pick up line would be to say you have all the Nintendo games ever I don't see the point. Wouldn't most of those batteries be dead by now? Kinda reminds me of Mr. Smithers with his Malibu Stacy collection.

I'm a video game collector. And though I don't have nearly as many NES games as this guy (stupid Katrina whiping out all my thrift stores), I know people who do.

And hell, more games in general.

Anyway, I'd be surprised if the Championship cart was there. That thing alone sells for A LOT.

You know, a lot of NES games have aged horribly, and a lot were just horrible to begin with.

I mean, I guess you could make a cool NES cart fort or something though, whilst playing the couple of dozen games that are still any good.

It was a prototype. There are a handful of them in the world, and I'm pretty sure the people who have them aren't gonna part with them. This auction is only for licensed NES games, which Earthbound never reached (note that Earthbound Zero isn't an official name in any way, only a ROMhack added the Zero to the title screen, it was gonna be named just Earthbound for US release).
