Sorry, to clarify - is it a double or a queen bed?
edit: For me it's mostly an issue of bed length, which is why I'm happy to have a queen. Queens are 203cm whereas doubles are the same as a single - 187cm... so I don't care which I get in that case.

basically what I'm doing is assigning costs for each sleeping spot
and for those staying fewer nights, you pay:
half the quoted room price
the number of nights you're staying * the remainder of the quoted room price divided by 8
so if your spot costs $400 for 8 nights
if you're only staying 5 nights, you pay 200+(5*25)=$325
if that doesn't sound fair to those staying less than the full 8 nights, feel free to yell at me but I'm probably not going to listen to you because I am pouring so many hours into this I really can't care very much less than I do now
I'd imagine there would be. I was under the impression we might be able to rent a car? I'm pretty sure you can rent from Gold Coast airport. It's what... less than an hour from GC to Byron?

it is a queen size bed (even then you could lie diagonal on a double, DUH)
but it will cost $375*2 for the whole week
I can also tweak it so that you switch into a double AFTER fish's friends leave

If you need to move me to a single or something for a few nights, I'm happy to do that. It's not like I physically cannot sleep on a smaller bed
