I agree, but I expected Zarek to try harder. Baltar having a higher chance of being a cylon is a good point, but this early it's suspicious taking power.

Boomer finishes the weapons inspection in the Armory. Precious few of the heavy weapons are available, so any boarding parties will be difficult to take down. She organizes a recon mission, but will have to occupy her time until it returns.
Boomer passes on the destination, but she barely has time to close the report when DRADIS lights up...

Sure. Jump in one of the vipers at 5 oclock and move over to 7.

I am thinking my OPG. Would get us to sleeper and clear the board.

This wouldn't be a bad time to use your OPG, actually. Saves us quite a bit in the way of damaged vipers and XOs out of sickbay. If boomer has a scout and a maximum firepower, though, an XO is probably the better option.
Cain orders Pegasus to unload on the basestar. The crew has clearly learned something about Cylon technology since the last time, as a massive burst of concentrated fire tears the basestar to pieces. 1d8 = 7 - Double damage: Structural Damage, Critical Hit. Basestar destroyed!
Cheering at the wreckage of the Cylon ship, the new DRADIS contacts almost go unnoticed. It looks like the tactical strike was only the first wave.
