Also, Microsoft has NO IDEA how much money they lose from me because I have no way of gifting things. The new Spend 1200 get 400 back on MS Games? Yeah, I know 3 people who NEED SPLOSION MAN for Christmas, too bad I cant do a damn thing about it.
Is there an easy way to tell if a game is MS published? I like the promos they're running, but this one seems like more legwork than the last 2.
Has the sale for Risk already come and passed? I remember it was coming after October and we're mid-November now...

I just checked and I got my points added to my account from the Oct. promotion. So if you haven't checked for awhile you might want to log on. Now I need to decide if I want to buy Pac Man or save them a little longer and get the Reach map pack.

I suppose I could get UNO Rush (heard it's pretty good) and the second Alan Wake DLC. Other than that I've got everything bold and am uninterested in everything italic. Or I could play more of Alien Breed Ep 1 and see if I want to keep playing in Ep 2.
plus there will be a special black friday only sale with huge discounts. so far the confirmed games for that are xbox originals GTA San Andreas & Halo 1 for 400 pts.
Also, 'Splosion Man for 160 pts. THAT"S 2 GODDAMN DOLLARS for what many people consider to be the best game of 2009!

I'm such an idiot for spending my Oct. points. I could have got portal and mega man 10.
Oh well. Pac Man CE DX is awesome, but still....crap.
Magic the Gathering seemed neat, if a little confusing
I may pick it up for $5
Oh shit, San Andreas and Halo 1 for $5 each? Jumping on that too
Puzzle Quest 2 is great, especially for that price. I guess the Monkey Islands are nice even though I both and have barely touched the first and the second is unplayed.
The real star here is the Lady Gaga track pack for Rock Band at a mere $3.50
My big problem with XBLA sales is that most of the games are already pretty cheap so if I want them, I tend to buy them near launch. If I didn't want them enough to pay $10 for them, chances are $5 isn't going to persuade me.
if I had to guess, I'd say PvZ is a likely candidate for the xmas sale or DotW in Jan/Feb

Man I'm also mad because for the longest time I had 260 points that I couldn't use for anything. Just recently I used them on an indie game. And oh hello there Trials HD Big Pack!
edit: I'll probably still pick up Mega Man 10. I've been in a mood lately where I've been playing nothing but hard frustrating games. I'm not sure why, but this mood has helped me beat Super Meat Boy and VVVVVV. Also if any of you don't already own Splosion Man and don't pick it up on Friday, then I frown upon that.

I tend to do this as well. I mean, there is a difference between ~$10 and ~$5, but it's not a huge, earth-shattering one.
Meanwhile, I'd kind of like to play the game now anyway.
Gah, still no Scott Pilgrim DLC or patch on the 360 yet, and the month's almost over. The PS3 community got theirs, right? After the big Borderlands patch delay earlier I'm guessing the Pilgrim stuff is still in Microsoft Quality Assurance Limbo, not to be seen until sometime in the middle of next month. . .
As for some of the deals going on I'm currently unable to download any new Arcade games or large add-ons (like Claptrap's New Revolution for Borderlands) due to the fact that my hard drive is pretty much filled up, and I'm planning on picking up one of the new model systems with the 256 gig drive, as soon as I can get paid back by my parents for a huge loan I gave them; that might not happen until early December. Serious Sam 2 for 8 bucks sounds really good, though.

Wasn't there supposed to be DLC codes in the DVD as well? Cause I bought the DVD and no codes or character codes or nothin'

Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

2 Questions about the current and upcoming sales:
(1) I know that the XBLA version of Portal has some additional content; if I already have the Orange Box on PC, are the extra levels worth spending money on?
(2) Despite being a pretty avid gamer, I've managed to last 10 years without ever playing a Halo game. I'm somewhat tempted to pick up the original for $5, but I'm worried that perhaps it hasn't aged well. How does the original hold up in 2010?
So, apparently Earthworm Jim HD is FREE if you have a Japanese Gold account.
I know most of us probably don't have Japanese accounts but if your console still has a month gold trial available, you can nab it.
Directions for making an account are here. (they're a little out of date, ignore the part about the phone number)
EDIT, 11/30: looks like they fixed it -- the price is back up to 400 pts. grats to anyone was a able to grab it.
yeah, I got around to playing the trial later last night. I would've bought it when the first "you'd get a cheevo at this point" popped up if I had any points in my account.
Both better than they have any right to be. Crash Course is pretty much Trials as a platformer; forgettable, but I imagine it could be fun with some leaderboard competition. Harms Way (which needs an apostrophe airlift, stat) is a fantastic concept, but I got lost in the brown and couldn't keep track of things well while in the gunner position.
Crash course has some of the best avatar implementation I've seen outside of kinect sports.
Hopefully somebody with some imagination expands the game show thing for the indie marketplace, preferably before it becomes the new zombie massage bandwagon.
So next week we're getting not only X-Men Arcade, but also Quake Arena Arcade too. Multiplayer all up ins. If it's around ten bucks I'd pick it up, since Quake Live's player base has been kinda lacking, and it'd be a helluva lot cheaper than the monthly "premium" subscriptions they have going on there.

I'll just play it on dreamcast.

That was a misunderstanding, it was never actually the case
But it's only two dollars
360 still doesn't have it yet, though? PS3 got it weeks ago
Hedgethorn, I played the first Halo about three years ago, and it still holds up really well.
Its just Knives Chau anyway, right?
One of which is lame and the other requires an extra player which I don't have on hand

I hate that I can't get Indie games so much.
Very charming little puzzler. Might just pick it up when I finally get my 800 points back.

Still no sigh of the Scott pilgrim dlc yet though
