Naw, what I meant was things like signing up for multiple accounts to manipulate prices. Or using trading bots. Or making a monopoly by colluding with a bunch of other people.
Stuff thats written in the rules. Someone got suspended for artificially inflating low activity shares and short selling before dumping them.
I've got 3 top gaining stocks and 2 top declining stocks. :S
I'm gonna hold on to FF6 though. It's gonna pawn faces when it's released soon.

... Trust me.
Because when you buy the stocks, you're not simply betting on whether the game will be a success, but whether the game will beat its expectations and sales forecast.
Investing on sure fire hits is counter balanced by the fact that demand for the stocks is also sky high but supply is limited, resulting in a high stock price. They also have to meet the expectations of the sales forecast.
For example, the price of the next Super Mario is at ~$550 per share. On the other hand, the price of Wario Ware for the Wii is ~$110.
But I think the site's procedure for managing IPOs is fundamentally flawed though.
Hypothetically, if sales figures exceed expectations, and Mario Galaxy is on track to sell 10 million copies, the share price will rise to $1000.
Thats the gist of it, and other factors play a part.
