Problem with our first HD TV

So about a year ago my dad bought his first HD TV, a Sony Bravia. Everything has worked fine for awhile now but a few weeks ago we started having a problem. On the sides and the top and bottom the picture cuts off. It looks like the picture is running at the wrong resolution but I have no idea how to fix it. If anyone has any suggestions I would appricate it.

Oh and we have Dish Network if that helps.

Try changing the zoom by pressing the 'WIDE' button on the remote. It should let you select from 4 different options.

Normal - Basically normal 16:9 mode used for HD broadcast. When you watch SD content you'll have black bars on the right and left of the picture.

Full - Usually used for old 4:3 SD content to have it fill up the screen.

Zoom and Wide Zoom - I have no idea why they even have these two options, but most likely your TV is using one of these settings and it will cut off the picture.

If you are still having problems, you'll want to go into the 'MENU' and go into the 'SCREEN' option. Most likely one of the 'AutoWide' or 'Auto4:3' modes is turned on.
