Another good voyager episode is the one where Chakotay and Harry Kim make it back to Earth but Voyager crashes on an ice planet and they go back to change history.
I wish american tv shows followed the british model. Shows that have an end point in sight are much better than ones that go on for ever and ever until they're stripped of anything good.
See: The Simpsons, The (US) Office, etc.

didn't voyager have a holodeck shenanigans episode with nazis or something
Also one where what's his face and jane-way turned into lizards and had a litter of baby lizards.
that fucking episode
jesus christ
Seriously.
It was something like they developed a shuttle that could reach Warp 10, which was only theoretical up to that point and goes so fast it occupies everywhere in space simultaneously.
Paris was effected by it, started going nuts, kidnapped Janeway on the shuttle, they both disappeared for a while and were discovered on a planet where they had "evolved" into lizards and got bizay. They said that this was the natural course of where human evolution would end up.
And the only thing I could think was evolution doesn't fucking work that way.

that episode even had some nice ideas, which made it even worse! they could've played this all out much better, have paris go crazy from all the knowledge (and kill himself, I hated that guy)
but they chose
the worst
way possible
someone call olivia dunham, we need a parallel universe
yeah, that sucked so much
apparently they wanted to go for the spock-mccoy-relationship, but this didn't work out AT ALL, she only came off as a mean fucking asshole.
The thing is that Spock and McCoy were both likable characters.
Data was such a great character and Polanski was just some replacement bitch.
Data should have skull fucked her and got her to shut up.
Yeah, Data was a great character and probably consistently one of the most likable ones. Plus the fact that he was not only merely not a human, but the only one of his kind in the whole universe (almost). So it's like some sort of super-racism
Why oh why did they have such awful Irish stereotypes on the show? The Irish colonists on Next Gen who set fire to the Enterprise trying to cook their dinner was bad enough, but then years later Voyager decides to have an entire episode set in the holodeck in a godawful Irish village. I cringed so much I got muscle spasms.
Well, I didn't see reruns of TOS because they played that on Sci Fi channel that I didn't get until I was like 16 at which point I enjoyed me some Lost in Space.
BTW the Jupiter 2 launched on my birthday. October 18th.

Is this not what irish people are unanimously like
tos has goood stuff, and very many pretty cheesy episodes
but some are just glorious, sometimes not only despite, but because of their cheesy charm. Let That Be Your Last Battlefield for example. The silliness of the makeup actually REALLY drives the point home it's trying to make.

I also saw the episode where Data dates some nameless ship officer and she breaks up with him at the end and it's like AWWW poor data, and then he has spot and you get the idea he isn't completely devoid of desire or emotion.

Come on, O'Brien was a great character.
Actually yes. O'Brien was fantastic. His whole friendship with Bashir became so enjoyable to watch over the years.

Oh god those two were so bad
I haven't even watched either of them but from summaries alone... so bad
yeah, but that one had jeri ryan in a french girl dress, so I consider it good
Special Guest: Geordie LaForge
No, but I'm getting ready to have my man baby and die.
It's up to use to raise it and eventually bring it back to its people. Also something about peace and pew pew space fighters.
Actually... I've never seen 2001.
Is that on bluray yet?
I think it might just be the worst episode of a show ever
See: The Simpsons, The (US) Office, etc.

ed you gotta
for science
just to see how fucking terrible a thing can be
Ahh.
Example, the first two episodes were followed shortly by one involving SPACE BLACK PEOPLE, who kidnap Tasha Yar.
nope.avi
god, SPACE BLACK PEOPLE were so ridiculous
God I was like 8 when I saw that.
But the entire crew die in that episode.

the second time, easily.

Old coot wouldn't stop being a bitch to Data.

I grew up watching both. TNG when new episodes came on (and forever after with reruns), and my dad had tapes of all the TOS episodes.
I still love TOS and I was born in 1990.

I'm still hugely disappointed they didn't have her fall down a turbolift shaft.

Such a good one.
Data is really nice to Q so he let's him feel laughter.
the second was off-camera
they brought the actor came back later to be all "oh yeah btw my moms fucked a Romulan and now I'm here and a bitch"
Actually yes. O'Brien was fantastic. His whole friendship with Bashir became so enjoyable to watch over the years.
It's short for...Q
