The Indie Games Winter Uprising
If you thought that the XBox Live Indie Games service was just filled with massage apps, clones, and garbage, think again! We are fighting back against mediocrity and lameness in the best way we know how – by releasing amazing games! Mark your calendars, because the first week of December is going to be the best week of gaming the service has ever seen. With new games from veteran developers like Ska Studios and Radiangames alongside promising newcomers, there’s something for everyone here. Check out the lineup!

Cthulhu Saves the World
The next RPG from the creators of the popular parody RPG, Breath of Death VII: The Beginning, Cthulhu Saves the World features a new 16-bit visual style, a fantastic soundtrack, sophisticated yet streamlined gameplay, and an epic tale of insanity, romance, and redemption. Save the world to destroy it!
Radiangames Crossfire 2
Crossfire 2 features an all new upgrades and weapons systems, along with two main modes. Play through Conquest mode with a friend and save your progress through 60 all-new waves and new enemy types, or play Score Attack and match your best scores against your friends and the world.
Chu’s Dynasty
Chu’s Dynasty combines the strategic fighting of street-fighter with the multi-tiered 4 player mayhem of super-smash brothers. Chu’s then adds a new twist to the genre with time manipulation. Over 2 years in the making.
Alpha Squad
Alpha Squad is an adventure game that has mechanics primarily used in dual-stick shooters, to keep the action fast and heavy as you explore the world and its characters. One week. Over a dozen great games. Prices as low as 80 to 400 Microsoft points.
Prepare yourself, because the first week of December is going to be legendary. The Indie Games Winter Uprising is coming!
The XBLIG service hasn't seen its best days recently, but we're hoping to change that with this promotion that I've been helping to organize (when I'm not working on our new RPG). Our thought was that even though XBox Live Indie Games gets plenty of great games, they're easy to miss since they're so spread out. Hence, our goal to pack a short period of time with as much great gaming as possible to get people to really take notice of all the great stuff on the service. Besides which, why should XBLA get all the cool promotions?
Posts
Edit: I'd recommend getting some promo screenshots for the front page, though.
This post is lime-worthy.
I won't do it, because I don't own an XBox, but good on yah, guys.

We're still planning on releasing BoD & Cthulhu Saves the World on Steam, but we gotta get the 360 version of CSTW done first.

I'm finding myself enjoying indie games more and more everyday and big commercial games less and less. I just beat VVVVVV and it was awesome. It reminded me of the good old days when beating a game was a challenge and an accomplishment.
I played Soulcaster II in playtesting and it's already excellent, even in beta. If you liked the first one, you should love this one. The music was especially good.

Can't wait for this event, some of the games look like real fun times, the level of polish is impressive.
I really wish I could remember how to / had the time to make games so I could get some stuff up on XBLIG.
Also, in one of the trailers I saw what looked like a spaceship shaped like a tee-hee-hee;
Edit: oh gawd TOTP

Obviously the better the quality the more interested I am, but I'm kinda burnt out on the big budget stuff, what with things like Fable 3 being a huge disappointment despite the bloated budget.
You know, just as a random comment, I would KILL for another breath of fire, in the style they did before dragon quarter (which I liked, but isn't really something you can repeat). Tweaked for my much-more-impatient brain of course, but I miss that series.
We're also adding a new song (so that it cycles between the current in-game song and this one) and then just doing a few other tweaks to clean things up in the game.
