Gonna assume Floyd doesn't have a ritzy trigger then (I can change my move if he does)

I was dropped rather unceremoniously in front of the stadium. I wondered to myself how much of what Li said was real, and how much was made up. At that time, my phone alerted me to incoming priority mail; Apparently a shootout has taken place on the moon. No mention of casualties, but a dropship from New Heinlein landed in a hurry above Monroe's soon afterwards, according to witnesses.

I decided to check it out since I'm in the neighborhood. A flash of the old badge, and the front desk pointed me towards a woman, deep in conversation with what I assume to be her lawyer. She's got the air of someone who just ran away from trouble. She glanced my way once or twice, making sure that they were speaking soft enough to not be overheard. She could have been more careful, since among others, I caught the phrases "Your neck", "Haas", and "hunter". I frowned. Could it be..? I secretly took a picture for identification later.

I got out of there and headed to the Root. The checkpoint guards should have a good record on those coming and going; if the perp left New Angeles through here, they would have the data, They promised to cooperate, but had nothing for me at that moment. Other than someone else very recently asked them the same thing.

In a moment of weakness, I thought about Sara. I gave her a call, asking to meet at our special place. She didn't refuse, but she didn't promise anything either. That's all right; I can wait. Walking in the cold evening towards Broadcast Square, I think of how everything between us might possibly be normal again once I do this last task for Mr. Li.

6: Move to Blue Sun Stadium, draw light card
5: Move to Monroe and Associates
4: Follow up testimony lead to dig deeper
    3: Move to the Root
2: Play 0 - I've got a date with Sara tonight. Place Sara favor on Broadcast Square, no shift, Louis is now in a good mood.
1: Move to Broadcast Square, draw light card

Zero leads in eastern Angeles? The NAPD must be doing a very good job there.

I just have a zip lock bag for each characters stuff (including cards), and a couple for the other bits. I think there are fan made tuck boxes for the cards posted on BGG that you can print out and assemble.

Saving up that good karma for something, Louis?

Just so we're clear on plots, you have to have net good Baggage for a favourable outcome.

I won't know where I'm going until I do some card work. Anything on me at start of turn, Ray?

    Maybe if I weren't fully light-shifted. :P

    EDIT:

The ambush from the previous day was still being cleaned up. Rachel had managed to dodge the questions and reporters. Thankfully, or else she'd never hear an end of it from her dad. There had to be some good news somewhere and just then her comm started beeping. She climbed into her hopper and flipped on the trid to see one of her contacts staring blankly at her.

"The target stole some high-end hardware. Interested? Here comes the feed." The hunter scanned the readout.

"We don't know who he's working for, but we do know that we want this done discreetly."

Rachel grinned and put her second-largest handgun into the holster in the small of her back. "Discretion is my middle name."

It was a short hop to the Earthrise Hotel, where the mark was staying. She questioned the clerk, flashed her credentials, and headed to the perp's room. One knock on the door later and she was staring down the barrel of a gun. She thought about what her father would say. She ducked quickly to the side and came in low, feeling the pain of a bullet punching into her shoulder. She floored the half-dressed, G-mod and knocked the gun out of his hand; breaking his fingers in the process. A punch to the throat left him gagging and helpless.

"Are you quite finished?" asked a sultry voice.

Rachel saw a pleasure unit laying in bed, presumably naked, under a sheet. One looked like the rest to her. She grunted and started looking through the man's possessions searching for the stolen hardware. The search also revealed an open courier satchel filled with some cred sticks that had the Human First logo etched into them; and he was spending time with a droid? WTH? She checked the 'from' readout: an address in the Columbiad Arcology.

"You know, hon, I think I just saved your life. I suggest you hit the road." The unit's pupil-less eyes were vacant. Gave Rachel the creeps. "Suit yourself." Favouring her shoulder, Rachel gathered up the man, tech and satchel and marched him out. Conveniently, there was a bounty station on the way to the Arcology and it didn't take long to get the credits and they got the bullet out and patched her up a bit while she was there.

At the Arc, she found the address deserted. Figures. She plugged her NAPD-bought handheld into the hall security camera and scanned through the feed until she saw some action at the door to the apartment. There were two guys talking to someone just inside the door. As the satchel was handed off she paused and zoomed in with just enough detail to make out a prominent Human First logo tattooed on the arm of the sender. There was definitely something deeper going on here. Maybe she was getting distracted from the case, and from the hit that Oliver had gotten a piece of for her. Maybe Oliver could dig up some info..

Oliver agreed to meet her at Armitage Software. After going over the latest happenings.. she punched the wall. It crumpled like it was made of paper.

"Another dead end?" asked Oliver. "You know, you shouldn't bottle it up like that. Let that wall know how you really feel."

"Careful, Kid, or I'll start letting -you- know how I really feel." She rubbed her hand, but only because she thought it -should- hurt. It didn't.

"Don't worry, I'll talk to the guys for you. See what I can dig up."

+1 bad Baggage for 3 Light cards.
1: Move to Earthrise Hotel (Ritzy) - Draw a Light card.
0: With Retinal HUD, play 3 - "The target stole some high-end hardware." (Father's Day) for 0 Time. +1 good Baggage.
-> Reduce cost to 0 by discarding Louis' Dark card and 2 Light cards.
-> Choose Light tactics, light shift once: gain 1 Trauma, $2000 (+1 good Baggage) and draw a puzzle piece.
    - -> Drew '+', grab a Street favour and place the piece in B2.
2: Question EVE - Add Testimony evidence to Noise's file.
+1 bad Baggage for 3 more Light cards.
    3: Move to Columbiad Arcology.
4: Hunt for evidence - Uncover the conspiracy.
-> Drew "| with testimony evidence', Light shift and place the piece in B1.
    -> Thoris heads to Haas-Bioroid.
5: Move to Armitage Software (Seedy) - Draw a Floyd Dark card
6: Play 1 - "I'll talk to the guys for you." (A Friend in Need). +1 good Baggage, +2 Street favours.
-> Reduce cost to 0 for matching plot.
Louis needs to move EVE and the Document lead to red locations.

There are rumors that Human First members have regular meetings at San Bernardino Ruins. That might be a good place to look into next.

Nobody knew where EVE went after meeting with Rachel, but she has a mailing address somewhere near Freetown.

Floyd is up, and me and Caprice hold Dark cards.

At the start of Floyd's turn, I play 3 - There's no need to overreact. (Finding Himself)
Play at the start of Floyd's turn. Floyd gains your choice of one disdain or one cowardice.
    (Flavour)

"I don't feel I'm overreacting here, Floyd. I know you're looking for ways to express yourself creatively, but you can't just paint flames on your cycle. It's a police officer's vehicle and needs to give off a certain air of respectability."

"I apologise, Commissioner. I was assured by the young man who sold me the decals that they would increase the cycle's top speed. It had something to do with wind resistance."

We'll take Disdain for $100, Alex. And since the plot matches, I want it to cost 2, so I am fully light-shifted.

Whoops I am moving to one seedy location this turn but I just drew the puzzle pieces and so on for this turn without waiting for dark cards because I am a failure. Hopefully it doesn't matter but uhhh if someone wanted to dark-card me (besides Mord) then I guess we should try to walk it back somehow :(

Erm, unfortunately, The Order of Sol is a restricted location (admittedly the symbol behind the circle is difficult to make out.) Without a warrant there it takes 2 extra Time to get in.

I would suggest that you hit Haas-Bioroid and Freetown. Then you can still follow up two more leads and draw one of my Dark cards, so it will turn out the same.

+ You will still have 1 Time left, sitting in Freetown.

    argh! fuck that!!

also the point of that turn was to get three leads so I could place three puzzle pieces and get the column, so if I can't do that then I gotta switch my plan up. I'll reconsider in the morning.

Yes, if you go from your first lead to Haas instead of Armitage, then to Freetown, you still get a total of 3 puzzle pieces and you will still have 1 Time left to spend.
