Hey, if any PA fans are in the Boston area, they should come out to a big Child's Play Fundraiser evening my friends and I are hosting at the Microsoft campus in Cambridge.

It's $10 to get in, which all goes to Child's Play, and we will have free food, a bar, a raffle with cool donated prizes from Bethesda, Microsoft, ThinkGeek and a few others, and a bunch of video games/board games set up so everyone can hang out and have a great night.

All the info should be on our site www.gp4cp.org you can pre-register there. If you can't make it, we also have a chipin widget for online fundraising, every $5 you donate enters you into a raffle to win either Venture Brother's seasons 1-3 or Big Bang Theory Season 1.

Did you get mod approval for this? You may want to contact them, otherwise this will get locked.

    Good luck on your event

Welcome to SE! You might also email or PM Robert Khoo and ask him to tweet about it, get more exposure that way, though he's a super busy dude

You might want to put more information on the website about what will actually happen at the event. All I can tell now is that there are raffle tickets.

We're setting up a bunch of board games and consoles on TVs in the Lounge at Microsoft NERD in Cambridge Saturday night at 7:00. We have catering from a friend's restaurant, bartenders, and a huge projection screen we'll be playing Rock Band 3 on all night.

We'll be selling raffle tickets during the event for prizes like the oh-so-rare California New Republic t-shirt from Bethesda, a $50 gift certificate for ThinkGeek, some copies of Halo: Reach donated by Microsoft, and a few other things.

We're also going to have some games running from some Boston-area indy developers like Fire Hose Games's new PSN game SlamBolt Scrappers. They'll be raffling off some PSN download codes, too.

Also, everyone that comes gets a set of three awesome posters from Bethesda Softworks. Two from their upcoming game Brink and the New Vegas "All Roads" lithograph.

Make sure to ask LewieP's StepDad about Hitman 2 and getting your name changed. Refer to him as Pattycakes, it's his unofficial name.

but in seattle all we really have event-wise is the dinner, which rules, but it's not tremendously accessible

The trick is just coming up with something fun and sending emails to people until it happens.

You'd be surprised how many people are willing to donate the use of their venues and services and whatnot for a good cause.

We hit our donation goal today thanks to a potent shout-out from Desert Bus for Hope. We want to raise a bunch more at our physical event, so if anyone's in the Boston area Saturday night, they should come out.

We're going to give Fallout New Vegas posters to everyone that comes, and it's only $10 to get in so that's a pretty good deal.

For more info about the event, check out www.gp4cp.org or follow us on Twitter @GPforCP
