It's ok. Not much wrestling. But entertaining wrestling for the most part.

I could deal without the Concert part, but hey, for the troops, it's worth it.

    Same.

I wonder if maybe WWE's YouTube channel or website will be so kind as to allow us to see it later...

Guys, really, it wasn't really worth the anything.

Faces get over, Heels get heat (although the 50k+ crowd of army and family booing the crap outta nexus was highly impressive), and George W Bush left a videogram.

    I figured as much.

TttT is not an event for TV, it's an event for the troops.

The only reason it's on TV is so WWE can show what they did to the rest of the world, like they are patting themselves on the back.

Well that's the only reason they do it at all, so they can show it to people and then say "See, look, this company is run by human beings after all!" which we all know isn't true, but whatever.

That's what bugs me about all the charity work the WWE does. It's awesome and all, but all the patting in the back they do to themselves cheapens it.

Maybe if they didn't do it so often (like the stupid WWE "Did you Know" facts or the Stand Up For WWE campaigns) then when they do something with actual sincerity (like TttT) it'll actually carry weight.

    wow.

i guess i'm not as jaded, but I don't really mind the patting on the back.

Ok, so after a while the 'did you know' gets a bit old, but I honestly think the Make a Wish and the USO work is important. And that people should know about it.

Especially if it reaches people outside of the wrestling fan community. Who would usually look down on wrestling, and the fans of wrestling, and now they're seeing a different side to it.

and forgive me if I'm buying into the writing, but I honestly believe that the superstars do that for the ability to do that, not as a line on a resume.

The fact there is no altruistic motive guiding them doesn't change the fact that they do good work, personally I just won't ignore the fact that the motivation behind the good deeds is a black hearted overlord who wants to be perceived as less black hearted.

[edit] This is a pretty lousy top of the page so I'm going to lighten it up with a link to NWA Hollywood, a fed everybody should take a look at (especially if you like PWG) since they put their weekly TV show up for view on the website.
You can't argue with a company who put the fun back into Claudio Castagnoli and give TJ Perkins a job.
The first episode is more of an NWA history show, interspersed with clips of old NWA matches, and the second show is all about current NWA world champion Adam Pearce. After that is when stuff gets more modern, although The Sheikh and Adam Pearce both might be a little off putting for anybody who isn't a fan of "old school" stuff.

Actually, he's been kind of a whiny fuckhead on twitter, complaining about his losses, or rather, re-tweeting people who do complain about his losses and how he's being treated and burred (not to Matt Hardy levels obviously but enough that it shouldn't come as a surprise). There was a good three-four page discussion on the "Wrestlers on Twitter" thread over on WK2k. I'm really disappointed by this but judging by his actions, I can't really say I'm surprised by this.

If anything else, this gives Cole more fuel to his "internet Darling" fire that he likes to hit Daniel Bryan with from time to time.

Well yeah, Low Ki is a dick. Anybody who has ever met him can tell you that. Or saw the way he behaved towards the end of his RoH tenure, that was a pretty good example of him being kind of a tool.

However he's a good worker and his offense was varied enough that I think he could've been a nice asset for the WWE if they had worked a little harder to get him over off the back of NXT.
Honestly I just wanted to keep my vague dreams about seeing pirate-Low Ki in the WWE alongside Homicide cutting unintelligible promos that culminate in "BRRRAT" all the time.

I am very down with NWA Hollywood.

What makes it even better is it appears to be filmed in a Chinese Diner in front of about 20 people. It's a real fun fed.

...though apparently he asked for his release because he was told creative had "no plans for him".

...which is a bit of an overreaction considering WWE creative couldn't put together plans for tomorrow's lunch let alone a midcard storyline.
Then again it has been more than three months since the possible worked firing of Danielson.

Regarding Tribute to the Troops, I just like the change in venue, and how it seems a little more... I dunno, "basic." A little more "shut up and wrestle," if you will. If memory serves me correctly, they don't usually do a whole lot regarding current angles on the show, and it's more or less self-contained.

I like the simplicity. I also love outdoor events. That's why I like seeing it, beyond the good intent behind it.

Julius Smokes is actually a fairly solid worker and has more strings to the bow of his mic work than was ever shown in RoH.
Personally I quite liked the utterly nonsensical promos he and Homicide would cut together since they put, intentionally or otherwise, a light hearted spin on a very serious gimmick. I can totally understand why people wouldn't like them though, however if we must remove J-Train from my list then I'm afraid we must replace him with Eddie Kingston!

EXCLUSIVE: NJPW Wrestlers Frustrated With Upcoming NJPW/TNA Event

Several New Japan Pro Wrestling wrestlers are said to be frustrated with TNA wrestlers appearing at the upcoming Total Nonstop Action Wrestling/New Japan Pro Wrestling event to be held at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan on January 4th, 2011.

Speaking to a source associated with New Japan Pro Wrestling, I was informed that a reason for frustration is due to various New Japan Pro Wrestling wrestlers missing out on what is considered a big payday, especially performing in front of the huge Tokyo Dome crowd.

The Tokyo Dome paydays are always considered to be the best paid shows in Japan every year and the feeling amongst some of those is that with certain TNA Wrestling superstars appearing at the event, it short-pockets some of the roster of talent that NJPW possesses and takes spots away from those who would have otherwise appeared at the event.

Various Japanese wrestlers feel that Total Nonstop Action Wrestling is a second rate and badly maintained professional wrestling company, compared to World Wrestling Entertainment, a company where various Japanese superstars would love to wrestle and that a lot of the worldwide talent who work in Japan don’t want to work for TNA Wrestling for that very reason.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling superstars appearing at the event include TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam and Beer Money Inc. (Robert Roode & James Storm).
