Did all of this happen in the same Kevin Smith story?
Yeah.
Reading the Kevin Smith Batman books was a lot like reading the All-Star B&R book. Heavily flavored, some good parts, a lot of the author just bursting through the seams. Smith's characters basically can only interact via those pithy comments that are sex-based most of the time. Once in a while it works (i thought the Joker telling Bats he caught a glimpse of Bats' junk was pretty in-character), but most of the time it just doesn't fit the setting. There's not enough of what readers want from Batman, like how ASB&R had wayyyyy too much of over-the-top Batman being Batman.

I believe Frank Miler writes All Star Batman as a parody
whereas Kevin Smith has come out and said that he believes Widening Gyre to be some of the best stuff he's ever written (that he doesn't remember writing because he was high)

Well, Batman and Kevin Smith have different standards. It's pretty easy to believe that that's some of Smith's best writing and one of the worse Batman stories.
I enjoy Smith's podcasts and most of his movies, but writing a good Batman story is... difficult.
JMS has been writing some shit lately. I might pickup Superman once his story has ran through. Glad to see he left it to concentrate on Graphic Novels.
He fooled me with Earth One. Not going to fool me again.

I hear that's not possible with Smith's comics.
poison ivy got batman high by using her powers to make marijuana smoke

Joker off in the background, having sex with like 20 people and killing them all in turn.

I said writing a good Batman story, not the best Batman story.
sure, why not take his virginity too
what
but he's
No
I won't even try to reason it out

Quick, someone post some more Adam West before my brain eats itself in an illogical act of self-preservation.
and he would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for that meddling smart hero
whew, I was worried that someone wrote one of the most grossly out of character moments ever
I am in love with the fantastic four cartoon from 67 and this looks like it but with batman and better
I am afraid of how much I will love this
and the characters he creates are incredibly one-dimensional anyway
and really he's only made five good movies and most of them are just different variations of the same character
and he helped bring Reaper to television
and the Clerks animated series is fantastic
but he is not allowed to do comics
and I really wanna read his Green Hornet script to see if it is better or worse than his Superman script, which was bad
and by watched
i mean stared at rosario dawson's boobs
not at all
he was fired from the job
his script primarily featured the green hornet hiding behind a rock, if Smith is to be believed
is rosario dawson the dude the tucks his wiener behind his legs and shuffles around
I like the idea of Red State, even if I never end up seeing it or it turns out to be bad.
The rock-hiding was his idea for a $6 Million Man movie.
His Green Hornet just stood around in front of the car talking about sex with Kato, then beat up bad guys outside the frame.
He has admitted to this
i laughed out loud when i clicked your sig
Don't care, still liked it.
don't let haters keep you off your grind
