also also also, my brother was worried about the dehydrated henchmen, and said "don't they have families?" Then, of course, the Penguin says "be careful with that dust, they all have mothers."
This wonderful
definitely
I love the goofiness of Adam West Batman, it worked. It was very tongue in cheek, and didn't take itself seriously. Yes, comics can be a serious medium, and yes, this may have harmed their reputation, but it's just TOO GOOD

I don't really think comparing comics being viewed as silly
to racism is all that apt of a comparison
All the celebrity guest stars is probably a problem as well. I know it's effected other old shows because the original contracts for the guest stars weren't written up by psychics who could predict that the show would be released on DVD in forty years.
The only example I can remember offhand is the Scooby Doo series that was an hour long and always had a celebrity guest star. When they released that on dvd, like 30-40% of the episodes weren't on it because they couldn't get permission from the respective guest stars.
I think that might also be the reason they stopped releasing seasons of the original Muppet Show, but I can't remember.

I think it's harder to with DVDs because their kind of a crap shoot on whether their going to be profitable or not
And when people license stuff they usually want upfront money on the gross
Since studios can use all kinds of tricks to make the net profit look miniscule

yeah that's a problem, too
apparently a lot of the cameos were walk-ons and non-paid
right after batman discovers that Ms. KITKA is Catwoman
he stares off into space and sheds a tear as he remembers the song that played at the restaurant they went to
then suddenly the editing gets super choppy and his mood does a 180 in about half a second
That was not an editing mistake. Batman simply has two settings, "Justice" and "love" and at that point in the movie he was all out of love.
there's one bit where he's like "She means nothing snap on the bat cuffs" where it all runs together so fast that it seems like the two different shots during that sentence were edited together a little closely

ahahhahahaaha, I lost it when they showed up
yes that is exactly what i was doing
we have a black president now, don't you know
racism is over
let's break the chains
the comic book silliness chains
I dunno if that's true. If they were like that then we wouldn't have Super Friends or Legends of the Super-Heroes on DVD.
It probably has more to do with the rights to the show. It was made by Fox but aired on ABC but Batman is owned by Warner Brothers?
The Batman got really good!
which I admit is not saying much
I'm sorry
but this is
you are wrong

Just tell yourself that Bat-Justice moves faster than you would expect and go back to eggjoying the show.
I wasn't saying it was a problem
