I had an issue once where The game wouldn't load up from the dashboard. I selected "play game" and the screen went black. Turned console off and on and it was fine. i didn't even know there was an issue
Not that it would be the worst thing in the world to have my save corrupted and start over, but I'd prefer not to!

Specifically, the reverse batarang. How do you use it? After using it on Ra's al Ghul, I tried using it on some thugs in the old subway from a gargoyle perch but it didn't seem to work. I didn't notice another type of batarang to select in my inventory, and I thought I was following the directions on how to use it: hold LT, target an enemy, and then hold RB.

This poor guy over on the AC forums, had his freeze long after he beat the game and unlocked a ton of stuff... now he has to invest another shit ton of hours into unlocking everything again.
With such a large and detailed game, such bugs are an issue, but forgivable... but you want to know the devs are on the case... and they pretty much said "this ain't our case, I'll guess maybe we'll check it out, but it's really microsoft/sony's problem."

I think I'm done with riddler trophies. No, I don't mean 100% done, but, I've unlocked all the stuff I care about (all the challenge/campaign/predator maps, a few of the character trophies), and all the remaining ones are just a pain really and turning the game into something I don't really care about.
I'll finish new game + then I think I'm going to move on to mostly doing the challenge maps.

Actually good thing you asked... I think this addresses JUST that (only for PS3 users though) and this seems to fix the issue, but it's a workaround not a FIX fix.
I doubt you'll have a problem, it is a minority that have these problems. But, I guess I'd advise you to not play DLC too heavily at this point in time, as the DLC seems to be the culprit. So don't be like me and mix Catwoman DLC with Robin DLC. That's asking for trouble.

Lol, I do the knife dodge simply because it looks so fucking cool. But trying to do it really can throw you off in a fight. I haven't tried cape stunning them. I just blow them up or build up my combo and take 'um down with one of those instant take-out moves.

I can dodge them well enough, but I think I only knife-countered once. And that was an accident. I just can't get it. I can comfortably take out 3 guys with machine guns, but 2 guys with pocket knives will make me their bitch.

Arkham Asylum is an awesome game that should not be missed anyways. Also, playing AA first, you appreciate damn near everything in Arkham City that much more.

Hmm...I would say that combat for AC is very much improved over AA. That being said AA's atmosphere is just as good as AC's and I really enjoyed those Psych Evaluation tapes you could collect from the first game. Was kind of sad they weren't present in the second.

Yeah, it's not worth trying to counter the knife guys, just cape flip over them, and roll away when you see the yellow alert thing.
