Peyton Manning Proven All-Time Worst Quarterback, Also Blamed for Economic Recession

keeping that in mind, along with the fact that my Yahoo! team is half Skins, half Ravens, and the fact that i started late (a few games into the season), let's see how i did standings-wise
Yahoo! = 4-8
CBSSports = 6-6
NFL.com = 2-10
yep that sounds about right

7-5-1, finished 3rd in Bale's Auction league.
Good stuff.
I said nearly.
But seriously, I cannot stand McCarthy. The dude just rubs me the wrong way. It's just every little thing he does I disagree with. The play calling. The challenges. Even the way the dude talks during press conferences after the game. The list goes on and on.
Everything about him makes me want to drive to Green Bay and punch him in the nutsack.

To be fair, even if the Colts lost so did Jacksonville.
yeah but the colts winning also lost me first place for the week in a pool i'm in
one of these two teams is going to the playoffs
either one team wins, and goes in with an 8-8 record
or another team wins, and goes in with a 7-9 record
boggles the mind how crappy that division must be

that, by contrast, took forever.
The Bucs and the Giants should be fighting for a wildcard spot this Wednesday/Thursday.
They need to lose this silly 4 Divisions/2 Conferences nonsense, and go back to 2 Divisions/2 Conferences.
It bloats the wild card.
Save the AFC-NFC matchups for the Super Bowl and only the Super Bowl.
but then there might have been a chance the Ravens didn't make the playoffs this year

But... that's a 15 game season.
Seriously.
Shut the fuck up.
The system works.
Maybe the Giants shouldn't have blown a 21 point 4th quarter lead to the Eagles if they want to be in the fucking playoffs.
Maybe the Bucs shouldn't have lost a game to the Lions if they want to be in the playoffs.
Perhaps I was unclear. I meant cross-conference.
You wanna know the real stupid thing?
Unless the Seahawks or Rams make the SB, they'll have a better draft pick that the Giants and Bucs, because the draft is seeded by record. That's something that should change. If you make the playoffs, you're automatic best pick should be 20.
It all be seeded by record or none at all.
To be fair, the Packers lost to the Lions and they're in the playoffs.
I now see why the 4 divisions exist.
No, I see it right there.
The word "earlier" was missing from that post.
Drop the cross-conference games, extend the season to 18 games (with 2 byes), and you play everybody in your conference once, and everybody in your division a second time. The winner of each division is guaranteed a play-off berth, and the two teams with the best records that did not win their division get wild-card berths. The six teams that make the play-offs from each conference are seeded on record, with division champs not getting priority seeding, and only the overall 1st and 2nd seed from each conference getting a first-round bye, and the 1st seed also getting homefield advantage guarantee.
There. Simple. Done. Conferences have meaning. Divisions have meaning. Records have meaning. Superbowl has meaning.
I just fixed football. Where do I redeem my coupon for a free internet?
Oh, and for tie-breaker sake across divisions, you only count the game from the same location (Home vs Away).
